Tried to dine in Grand Kingdom several times but it was never successful because the restaurant was always crowded. Finally, after several failed attempt, we finally get the chance to dine here. Thanks to my cousin who make the arrangement and booked a table the day before.
The place was pleasantly furnished with a contemporary setting.
It was rather crowded (and congested) when we arrived at 7.30pm on the dot.
Table for 11 pax.
Dry pickles and peanuts as tits bits while waiting for the dish to be served.
After waiting for more than half an hour, the first dish was finally served. This dish is a unique and special which was specially requested a day earlier. Hence this will not available in the menu. Instead of their usual, we had fish cake, fried fish ball with lemon grass as skewer and Sauteed Spanish Iberico cubes with Zucchini. *Note: super pricey due to special request*
Steamed with Spring Onions & Ginger Ocean Garoupa.
It may look simple but it tasted really good.
The fish is really fresh and the sauce goes well with rice.
Pole Dancing Village Chicken.
Indeed a unique way to display the roasted chicken.
The meat is tender but a bit salty.
Can give this a miss because it's pretty much taste like any other roasted chicken.
Not worth the money you pay for this dish.
Stewed Spare Rib with Burdock and Apple Sauce.
Highly recommended to try this dish.
The meat is super tender and delicious.
Fried 'Gai Lang'.
"Yao Mak'.
Can't forget the 'birthday' noodle.
Finally, the long awaited birthday cake for the birthday 'girl' and 'boy'.

For desserts we have lemon grass chia seed with longan, strawberry and jelly.
An unusual dessert but yummy!
*Unfortunately the kids did not like this due to it's strong lemon grass taste*
Overall, the food here is very nice! Very satisfying quality meal.....but pricey. I guess we need to have an occasion to dine here.
