I've finally put up this blog post on one of my trips to Singapore (before the pandemic). I had stayed at the Bliss Hotel twice and I thought I'll stay in another hotel close by for a change of view.
The Southbridge Hotel is only a short 3-5 minutes walk from Bliss Hotel and MRT station (North East & Downtown line). You can take a shuttle to the hotel from the airport, but I took the train since I have the time before check-in.
Sharing my review during my stay at Bliss Hotel Singapore. This is actually my 2nd stay here. The first time I stayed here was last year back in December 2018.
If you're coming from Changi Airport, take the train to Chinatown station and get out at Exit E.
The first time when I was here it was raining heavily and I have to wait until the rain subsides before crossing the road. Fortunately the second round I didn't have this problem.
Once you're out from Exit E you'll be able to see the hotel on your right side.
Check-in at the reception is pretty breeze. I got my key card once they verified my booking and my passport. I also need to make a deposit of SGD50 during my stay (they'll refund back once you check out).
I rarely use the wifi in the hotel since I was using the data from the Simcard I got from Klook.
I find the speed of the wifi here is quite slow, but after midnight it will be back to normal.
I stayed in a single room. At one glance you pretty much see everything.
On a recent trip to Singapore I stayed at Hotel G for 5 nights.
It's my second time staying here, the first was back in 2018.
I wanted to stay in a familiar surrounding and my last stay here was pretty good so I decided to stay here again. The hotel is only a few minute's walk to Bencoolen MRT and there's a bus stop nearby. The only difference is that I stayed in a single room this round, as compared to 'Good Room Queen' previously.
In my opinion, the design of the single room is perfect for one person.
The space in the room is sufficient, even for someone with a large suitcase.
Everything you need in the room....TV, complimentary wifi, electronic safe, hairdryer, tea and coffee making facilities. The only thing that is not available in the room is a fridge.
Sharing my review on my recent stay at Hotel Clover 7, a boutique hotel in Singapore.
I took the airport shuttle from Changi Airport. I highly recommend taking this shuttle if you want to enjoy a comfortable airport transfer to your hotel accommodation. The airport shuttle dropped me in front of the hotel after a 50 minutes bus ride. Depending on where your hotel is, the driver usually drops other passengers while on the way.
When I arrived at the hotel it was still early to check-in.
I left my luggage at the hotel before leaving to explore.
There's actually a lift to come up instead of the stairs.
I was not aware when I climb up the staircase the first time.
When I came back to check into the room, there wasn't any staff around. Fortunately, there was a phone on the concierge & I called to inform the staff from the hotel next door (Hotel Clover). Waited a few minutes before the manager in charge came over and apologized for the wait.
Previously I stayed at Hotel G and decided to stay at Hotel Mi this round.
Took the flight in the morning hoping that I can have my things done the sooner I reach there.
But my flight was delayed for more than an hour (bummer).
When I finally arrived at Changi Airport I decided to take the shuttle bus to the hotel (thinking that it will be faster than taking the train). Paid SGD$9 for one way. Its cheaper to take the train but for those with heavy luggage or someone who wished to relax this is the better alternative.
During my recent trip to Singapore, I stayed in Hotel Gas I wanted to stay close to MRT station. The hotel is only less than 5 minutes walk from Bencoolen MRT (really convenient to travel around in Singapore).
To get to the hotel's reception, one have to pass through a restaurant & bar. But if you come in the afternoon, the place can be pretty quiet (except for lunch or dinner time).
When I first arrived I have to climb the staircase....
...so that I can take the lift up to their reception at level 2.
Thanks to my mum's friend I was able to spend a night at Marina Bay Sands Hotel...for free! I've been wanting to stay at this hotel because of the infinity pool so I was pretty excited staying a night here.
After check-in at the reception counter, we used the key card to access to the 17th floor.
Arriving on the 17th floor, it was a quiet sight walking to the room, which is a plus sign that you'll not be disturb at night.
Place your keycard to activate the light switch.

Designed with marble deco, large mirrors and a big bathtub, the bathroom look luxurious and spacious!
There's a separate glass door in the bathroom for toilet and shower.
Overlooking the city from the room, although some views were blocked from part of the building.
The view looks better at night.
The highlight of staying in this hotel is the free access to their infinity pool on the 57th floor. Access is free for 4 guests per room. You need to show your hotel key card to have access to the pool.
The pool is incredible beyond words. The view here looks stunning and you can see the whole city in front of you. The pool is everything I imagined it to be.
If you're wondering why the pool looks deserted, that's because the picture was taken wee hour in the morning before 7am. There're guests who woke up as early in the morning to swim, which by the way I find it to be quite chilly and cold. Night time it can get pretty crowded.
I woke up early hoping to see the sunrise but I woke up a little later than expected. Nevertheless, it was still an amazing view up here with the views of the cities, the ocean and the Gardens by the Bay.
Breakfast is available at the hotel lobby. Since our room do not come with breakfast you can have it somewhere nearby as you're bound to find one here.
For me it has been a spectacular and luxurious stay in this hotel. The infinity pool is incredible and I enjoyed every minute of my stay here. For more information of this hotel, do check out this linkfor more details.
