Our last day at Boracay was spent on travelling. Woke up early to check out the hotel and have our breakfast before the logistic team arrived at 9.30am. Our flight was 3.05pm from Kalibo airport but requested to leave early (originally at 10.30am). Our journey to the Kalibo airport took more than 3 hours. We arrived early around 1pm and passengers were lining up at the airport entrance.
Kalibo airport is quite small so you can pretty much see the whole airport. Since we were early and have time to spare, we decided to survey outside of the airport after check in the luggage. Do note that queues can get pretty crazy so it's advisable to arrive early.
Remember to put aside Php500 to pay the International Passenger Terminal Fee in the airport (Php500).
Get your last minute shopping for souvenir or snacks at the stalls outside the airport.
Went to one of the eateries nearby for lunch. The food was simple but tasty, and there's free wifi to connect with our family back home before our flights.
The place was pretty quiet so we have the whole place pretty much to ourselves.
We only went in half an hour before boarding time. The waiting area in the airport is small and most of the passenger were standing while waiting to board the plane.
That's pretty much sum up our whole trip. The first and last day was pretty much spent on travelling back and forth between airport and hotel and we only have three full days to enjoy the island.
