Gong Xi Fatt Chai! Can't believe its Chinese New Year already. Time passed so fast when you least expected. This year Chinese Reunion Dinner we have it at Mama Mia Restaurant, instead of our usual pot luck at my cousin's place since we were leaving for our trip the next morning. We often have our dinner here and their food and service is excellent.
The table was booked in advance to avoid any disappointment cause on this day they do not accept any walk-in customer. We have the RM668 nett set dinner and booked it at 8pm. *We find dinner at 5.30pm was too early for us.
Yee Sang was already put on the table when we arrived.
Can't start until everyone arrives.
While waiting, got my angpow from my family.
Love the colourful and cute angpow packet!
Prosperity Yee Sang with Salmon. This is actually my first Yee Sang and most of my family members already have their third or forth time. I didn't count the one I have at Sakae Sushi cause it wasn't the same as the one in the restaurant.
After tossing and mixing the ingredients and dressing with chopsticks, it was time for the feast to begin.
First to start of is the Shark's Fin Soup with Crab Meat & Fish Maw.
I like mine without vinegar, it taste much better with its original flavour.
Instead of Steamed Garupa with Chili Garlic, we have Sweet and Sour Fish instead, which is our usual dish when we dine here.
Chinese New Year Prosperity Village Chicken.
Fresh Crystal Prawn with Mayonnaise Sauce.
By the time Braised Mushroom With Broccoli is served, all of us were stuffed!
Changed the Glutinous Rice to noodles instead.
Double Pastry. We didn't expect to have 2 dishes of desserts after the main course....
...and a Chilled Sea Coonut with Longan.
Let just say all of us we pretty stuffed when we finished off with the desserts.
With that the feast is over.
In a whole, we all have a great time.
Recommend Mama Mia to hold any occasions but prior arrangement is needed.
