Japan Travel Blog: Day 5 - Sapporo To Tokyo

After 4 days in Sapporo it was time to head off to Tokyo.

Train tickets we bought the night before.

Do allocate few hours to explore New Chitose Airport. This airport is amazing and I have fun exploring this place. You can read all about it here

Bought Hokkaido milk to try while waiting for our flight, so creamy and tasty! Regretted not drinking this cause this was free as part of the hotel's buffet breakfast Emoji

Waiting to board the plane. Comfy seats to sit while waiting.

If you're wondering which airline we took, we booked our tickets with Skymark Airlines which cost 39,000 Yen for 3 pax. Its cheaper than taking JAL airlines. It would have been much cheaper if we travel earlier but mum didn't want to rush so we ended up taking the afternoon flight instead.

I have to say we're quite happy with their service.
After all its a short journey from Sapporo to Tokyo.

Upon arrival at Haneda Airport, we have lunch at one of the restaurant in the airport.

I find miso soup in japan so 'Oishi'!

After lunch we went to buy our bus tickets.

Ticket cost ¥ 1230 one way to our hotel. It's much easier and convenient using the limousine bus cause it's hassle free especially if you're carrying big luggage around.

The journey was about an hour to our hotel at Ikeburukoro. The weather was cloudy and drizzling. It was another wet day in Tokyo for us. Emoji

The bus dropped us right in front of the hotel. Super convenient! If you want to use their service, do check out the link here for more details.

As soon as we arrived at our hotel we were able to check-in to our room. We stayed 3 nights at Hotel Metropolitan.

The room was much smaller than the one we stayed in Sapporo, but it was cozy and convenient to walk to the train station. Will write a review on this hotel later.

Our view from the room.

We stayed back in the room to rest cause it was still raining outside. We waited until the rain stop before heading out for dinner. Needless to say we didn't do anything other than exploring Ikeburukoro near the hotel in the evening. Emoji

Mum didn't feel adventurous to try new food so we ended up having our dinner back in the hotel...Chinese food to be exact. The food was pretty good but I would have prefer to dine outside though cause we can get all the Chinese food back home. Anyway, we have desserts at the hotel's coffee house before calling it a night.
