It was a sunny day when we took a trip to Farm in the City. Located at Seri Kembangan, we were able to reach our destination with the help of waze. Thank god for GPS!
Anyway, as soon as we arrived we went to check out the pet store.
The kitties here are mostly expensive cat breeds, which can costs up to few thousands ringgits. *Cute but Pricey!
Although the store is small but they have quite a number of small animals here.
We bought our tickets for RM30 (with MyCard Holder).
It cost more for non-MyCard holder...so remember to bring it.
Our entrance fees includes wrist band and a RM5 voucher. Voucher can only be redeem at the gift shop if you spend above RM30.
I find most visitors are parents with children. I guess this is one place where you can bring your children to have an experience of touching and feeding the animal freely.
Tried to feed the deer but I got scared when it came too close. LOL.
First time seeing a Dwarf Mongoose up-close. *So Cute!
Food was provided to feed the birds and the animals.
It's a thrilling experience when feeding them.
Vegetable & Fruit Farm.
I find the scarecrow a bit creepy.
I find the scarecrow a bit creepy.
Longkang Fishing. When I was a kid I used to catch longkang fish in the drain infront of my house. Sadly we don't see any of that in the neighborhood anymore.
There's a whole enclosure for bunnies and guinea pigs that we were able to pet. However, I find most of the guinea pigs look stressful since they were huddled together in one corner.
Fish Feeding Section.
The pond was big; loads of fishes and there're swans too.
Get to feed the fishes! I like the fact that food was provided for us (for free) to feed the animals, unlike other places where you have to buy the food.
Spotted few of the ducks in this farm.
This fellow seems to be looking into my soul with his big pair of eyes.
Small baby chicks! They were super cute and we get to hold them. My friend was petting it gently and the little fellow fall asleep in her hand. *Awwww
More Guinea Pigs. They look hungry when chomping down the vegetables.
This little fellow was lying on his back and looking up at me.
Looks like he want a tummy rub perhaps? ^^
Fennec fox is perhaps my most favorite animal in this farm.
Its most distinctive feature is its unusually large ears.
I was famished when we stop at one of the restaurant for lunch. Interestingly there are tatami tables and air-conditional in this restaurant. Defiantly worth stopping here to cool down, especially on a hot day.
Overall we were able to cover the entire park in 2-3 hours. I have to say the farm here is well-kept, clean and didn't have an overpowering smell of animals.
I have to say this trip proved to be a fun trip for us. It's a short trip from Kuala Lumpur and it's a worthwhile trip to see animals up close. This place is suitable for families with young kids or for those who loves animals.
