Overnight Stay At 'Palace Of The Golden Horses'

An overdue post when buddy & I stayed overnight at the 'Palace of the Golden Horses'. Buddy got a free voucher for 1 night so we were pretty excited cause it's not everyday we get to stay in a 5 star hotel. Finally we booked a date to stay over night during the weekends.

It was kinder tricky finding this place but thanks to Waze (similar to GPS) we're able to locate the hotel. No problem finding a parking space, we practically have the whole car park to ourselves at the hotel's basement parking lot.

Took the small lift up and walk towards to the hotel's lobby. During out stay it was decorate with Chinese New Year decoration (ya I know...extremely overdue post).

In no time we have our room key card and our meal voucher.
Free parking for guest who stay overnight.

It was a long walk to our room.
Pretty spacious I must say....and quiet too.

Finally we reach our room.

A quick glance and wow, it's really spacious.

Our bed for the night. Love the big bed.

Pretty much everything you need in the room.
2 complimentary bottles of mineral water are provided.

Quite surprise to find an empty mini bar and the fridge looks  pretty run down.

Bathroom is huge! I mean check out the picture below!
It's as big as my room at home.

Our view from the room's balcony.
It was a hot day so we didn't stay long outside.

After leaving our bags and freshen up, we decided to check out the surroundings.

Although the place look pretty huge but there's nothing much to do here (except for spa). In the end we drove to the nearest shopping mall to have our dinner instead.

The next morning we have our breakfast at 'Carousel'.

Quite a variety to choose from.

Breakfast seems decent...although I can give this a miss and wouldn't mind having breakfast outside if we were to stay here the second night.

So far all the pictures I took seems to make the place looks pretty good for a weekend getaway. However I have to point out several flaws in the room we stayed. Firstly the water heater didn't work, the facility around the hotel look pretty deserted, the glass window to the balcony can't be lock, the bathtub looks like it had not been scrub for ages, there's a big iron mark stain on the carpet floor, and we also noted that the bed covers and blankets have stains. In addition, the hotel is a bit far out so unless you have a car to go about there's nothing to do here at all.

Alright, I know I shouldn't be complaining since we stayed here for free since I was pointing out all the flaws above. However, not all is negative about this hotel. This whole place is actually beautifully build that looks like a mini palace. The room that we stayed is big and the surrounding here is pretty peaceful. I think it's suitable for those who wished to get away from the city and looking for a peaceful night out? Anyway I'll end this post with a short clip of the hotel below.
