It's been a while since I have tonkatsu and decided to check out Ichiriki Japanese restaurant which specialized in tonkatsu.
They were having this opening promotion when we were here.
The interior of the restaurant is pretty spacious and cozy. The only thing we dislike was the light that was right above us, which we find a bit too glaring for our eyes.
Ichiriki has several set menu to choose from, as well as ala carte.
For starter, we have the Edamame (RM8).
Tonkatsu & Sushi Bento (RM29).
Quite generous with the serving size of the set.
The tonkatsu was fried in perfection and goes well with the sushi.
Mixed Fry Set (RM32).
The pork katsu is juicy but found the salmon and oyster overcooked.
(too much of the flour/bread crumbs when they deep fried it)
Overall their set meal is value for money, but I wouldn't go for the mixed fry set in the future.
