Bali Trip Day 2: IIGA Warung, Agung Bali, Uluwatu Temple & Jimbaran Sea Food Dinner

On the second day in Bali, woke up around 9 a.m. (reluctantly) and most of the gals were already awake. Myself & my room mate for the trip took turns to take a shower and have a light snack (bought from the convenience store from the hotel) and await for our driver to take us to our next hotel. Didn't really check the facility in this hotel, apart from the picture taken below.

The view outside of the room, which is located on the ground floor.

The hotel's mini cafeteria; spacious and clean.

Tune Hotel Reception.
It's cheaper to stay at Legian compared to  the other Tunes Hotel in Kuta (in my own opinion). The gals and I only paid around RM36 each per night in this hotel. However, do take in mind that this is a no frill hotel. We only paid additional 12 hours aircond, and 24 hours wifi service (which is a must).

We checked out Tune Hotel approximately 10.30a.m. Dedy picked us up and send us straight to 101 Legian hotel to checked in so that we can leave our luggage in the hotel.

After we have checked in our room at 101 Legian hotel, we went and start our tour since it was too early to checked in. However, as it was still early, we asked Dedy to recommend us a place to have our brunch. He took us to IIGA Warung for our meal, which I find the food is pretty good.

Initially, the tour should be in this range, which was recommend to us when we booked the tour with Dedy. However, before we arrived we decided to skipped the first 3 places since non of us will be interest, apart from the Uluwatu temple and the Jimbaran sea food dinner. The rest of the itinerary were actually planned as we went along.

South Bali Tour

2) Tanjung Benoa watersport actifities ( optional ) (SKIPPED)
3) Garuda Wisnu Kencana , home for largest statue in Bali. Entrance fee : rp 80,000 per pax (SKIPPED)
4) Uluwatu Temple , entrance fee : rp 20,000 per pax

5) Jimbaran sea food dinner ( optional )

Our first stop: Brunch at IIGA Warung

When we arrived, the place was practically empty. It was still early since it was around 11.30am at the time. Took few photos of the place. For more details of this place, you can actually check out the video at the end of this post.

IIGA WARUNG Menu.
It will give you an idea how much the food cost.
Their specialty is Pork Ribs.
Btw, there is an additional 10% service charge for your meal.

We were served with prawn crackers while waiting.
Love it when dipped with their special sauce, great for those who love it hot and spicy.

A big disappointment with the coffee we ordered. Wished we have ordered the lime juice instead.

Grill Chicken with optional Rice or Fries.

Cah Jamur. Surprisingly good.

Mie Goreng. We love this dish the most.
It sort of remind us Mee Goreng back home.

Pork Ribs. Very tasty.
Some may not like it due to the sauce being too sweet.

Spring Rolls.
Best to eat when served hot.

If you arrive earlier, would recommend to sit far away from their 'kitchen'.
As you can see that it can get a bit smokey at times.

The crowds when we left. It was a full house when we left and people were lining up outside. I must say that all the people in this restaurant are tourist like us. Although the food is good, but we find a bit pricey, which is possible being a tourist spot for people like us wanting to try the local food.

This is where they grilled the food, which is outside of the restaurant.

Got their name card of this restaurant. If you're interest to come here, you can show this to the driver to take you there. Advice to come early to avoid the crowds.

Our next stop after our meal is Agung Bali, a shopping paradise...well...actually to the gals...not for me. LOL. I think we practically spend close to 2 hours here! Not kidding. And honestly, I was bored after half an hour here.

Interesting souvenir to bring back home.

We were told that the things here are cheaper as compared to outside.
Great bargain for those who would want to buy more to give to people.

Most of the gals bought few pairs of pants and top back.

After spending more than an hour, realised that there is a second floor in this building. Walked up to the first floor, it was all hand craft goodies.

 Agung Bali pamphlet.

After Agung Bali, we went to another wholesale mall, which is not far away from Agung Bali. I think we spend around 45 minute to an hour here. Loads of branded name in this outlet...can't really remember the name of this outlset since I didn't take note of it.

After our brunch and shopping, our South Bali Tour finally begin! Actually, the above is actually not part of the tour, rather it was Dedy who took us there. It was way too early for us to go Uluwatu Temple after our lunch since our purpose is to watch the sunset. Anyway, to sum it up, you'll not believe how long it took before we arrived Uluwate Temple because it was almost 5.45pm by the time we arrived.

Entrance fee to Uluwate Temple is RP20,000, which is approximately RM6 per pax. Reminder to all who visits this place, do ensure that you watch out for the monkeys as they have the tendency to steal your glasses, necklace, hat, or anything that they can grab hold of it. We were informed before hand before entering.

Some shots I took while there.
All pictures taken with my Iphone (bad quality pictures).
Didn't bring my camera (T.T)

The view is spectacular, but I find that the crowds can be quite overwhelming.

After the sunset at Uluwatu Temple, we took off immediately before the crowds leave as to avoid any massive jam later. Our journey to our next destination took half an hour or so. Dedy took us to this restaurant for dinner since we were told that Jimbalan seafood is a must when in Bali.

Options for Indoor or outdoor.

After you're seated, you need to go outside of the restaurant and come to this counter corner to order. You'll need to let them know your table number and they will serve the food to your table. As you can see from this picture, my friends were in deep discussion what to order while me on the other hand was busy snapping pictures.

Behind the counter is the kitchen.

Honestly, I would not recommend taking their Deluxe Package.

It's very pricey doing so. And the package is actually for 2 pax.

When we went back to our table, our drinks were already served.
Unfortunately, coconut was all sold out, hence we ordered drinks such as juice or ice lemon tea.

While waiting for our food to be serve, there were live performance to entertain us.

At the beach side, you'll find such vendor selling corns.
If not mistaken, it is approximately RM6 per corn.

After waiting for half an hour, our food finally arrived.
Rice and fruits are inclusive with your orders.
As you can see, it's way better to order individually from the menu.

Deep fried squid. Slurp. I find this the best....since I love anything that is fried.

 Roasted Corn from the vendor.

Overall verdict, the meal is quite good. And best of all you get to eat while enjoying the ambiance here. However, we find the cost of our meal here can be quite pricey. If I'm not mistaken, we need to pay additional 15 % service charge for your meal. We paid approximately RM300 for our dinner in this cafe. Imagine if we have ordered the deluxe package from the menu, it would be double the price of this. >.<

Overall, no complain here since we have a great time here and enjoyed the ambiance  and the company of my buddies.

That's the end of day 2.  You can read my Day 3 trip here.
I'll end this blog with a short video of the places we went. :)
