Bio-Essence – Face Lifting Cream with ATP

I never believe such thing as face lifting cream because I don't believe that there is such cream that can shape your face without having any surgery/botox. A friend of mine (my big sis Sharon) recommended this cream to me while we were shopping the other day and she said it works for her. I was really doubtful about it at the beginning but then I thought, what the heck, I might as well give it a try since there was a promotion at the time.

Fast forward 4 months later and I’m still using this cream. Actually...I am using the whole range of Bio Essence, from facial wash, toner, serum, lifting cream, eye cream to hydrating mask before I sleep! Yup, you can say I'm a big fan of this brand, because it actually works! My friends even noticed it and complimented that my face had slim down, as compared to my round face few months back. They thought I had lost weight, but actually it was the use of this cream. I will know because I did not lose weight, instead I am putting on weight!!!! LOL.

Anyway, you can get this in any pharmacy. It costs around SGD$40 but you can get this cheaper in Malaysia. If there is a promotion in Singapore, you can get it around 20% discount. The other day I came across one promotion pack, which comes with a facial wash, one essence/serum bottle and the face lifting cream; and it only costs SGD$33! It's way cheaper to get this in promotion pack. Most of the store had sold out but I came across this set last week when I was browsing though at Watsons in Ang Mo Kio Mall. You really have to give this cream a try, because it works for me. =)

My Life Saver - Kit Kat and Red Bull Energy Drink

With exam just around the corner, what better way to keep myself alert by having a Kit Kat for a snack and energy drink to boost you up. A friend of mine bought these goodies when we were staying back in the University to do our assignment and revision for our final exam. It actually helps to make me stay awake. My friends thought it taste like cough mixture or medicine drink. I on the other hand find the taste quite nice and it makes me stay alert when I need to burn the midnight oil.

My mum prefers that I quit drinking coffee and this energy drink as it contained high level of sugar in it. Instead she prefers me to drink chicken essence. I guess comparing $1.30 for can drink and an over $20 for a six bottles of chicken essence, I think I am quite happy sticking with my energy drink or coffee....until the exam is over ( A big thanks to Ray for these goodies ).  (^_^)

The Beginning of New Chapter?

Only less than a week to go and I'll be completing my MBA course. How time flies and it was only less than a year ago I was preparing to come over to Singapore to study. And soon my course will be over, and I have to bid farewell to my dear friends whom I have get to know in this short period of time.

The time I spent here had made me realized that life is short. And in this period I learned to take things easier, and learn to R&R once in a while. I did not have such leisure when I was working in my previous job. The only thing I enjoyed in my last job was the traveling, allowance, bonus, and of course, my dearest and closest friends aka my ex colleagues. =)

The thought of going back to workplace scares me, and I wondered will I be able to cope with the new environment and starting over. However, this one year break had made me become more independent and learned to let go of certain issue that had been a big grudge in my life. Last year was a painful and difficult time for me, and learning to let go and moving forward had been difficult. However, leaving my comfort zone was a big step for me. I have no regret on the decisions I made, and looking back, I had come in terms to accept myself for who I am and learned to love myself again. I have learned from my mistake and never to be naive nor too trust worthy (not sure if this is a good or bad thing).

So far I’m doing well. My time in my studies had made me happier, and most of all, I had learn a thing or two. For instance, whether my country is a diplomatic, how old is my country and how many countries in this world, and that there is such country called Swaziland. Before that, I am so clueless. But then again, I am very naive and very clueless in many things, especially in terms of politics and geographic. LOL. But seriously, being with friends who are much younger than me makes me feel younger and good about myself. Without them, I would not be able to go through these periods of time. To my new found friends, I will miss all of you and although we'll be far apart, you'll always be in my thought.

Candylicious @ Sentora, Singapore

I'm still a big kid (and a big tummy) in heart. I just love candies and chocolates. Seriously, when I found out about this shop I have wanted to check it out. The only problem is that this shop is located in Sentosa so it's quite a distance for me to go there. However, finally got the chance to visit this place after the New Year. =)

The outside of the shops are decorated with candies hanging on a plastic tree. It is actually beautiful when it is light up at night. Quite a number of tourist and locals come here to have pictures taken.

Now there are rules before you enter the shops, and one of them is that pictures are not allowed in the shop. By the look at the photos you can see that I did not comply with the rules. Afterall, who can resist from taking these pictures?!? =p

The inside of the shop is quite big and it is filled with mostly candies, chocolates and gift related. Seriously, if you bring any kids to this store they will go crazy. Heck, I spend quite sometime just checking out their decorations of this shop, it is so colourful!!!!!

The only downside is the cost of the item being sold here. Seriously, it's quite costly to shop here. They really heck up the the price, maybe in terms that these place is located in Sentosa. By the way the store is located just right in front of the Universal Studio and near the resort world casino.

In the end, I only bought 3 chocolate bar and 3 candies. The total damage cost $10 bucks. Yup, Kinda pricey. But imagine if I’m working here and earning in SGD, it will be reasonable. Trust me, I try not to convert to Ringgit...but I can’t help it! =p

For more details of this store, do check out their websites

My Review: Kinohimitsu J’Pan D’tox Juice - Cranberry

I don’t know what came to me but I decided to purchase the 6 days detox juice as I found myself wanting to lose weight. I know I have been putting on weight lately and I read some of the reviews that this detox juice actually helps to reduce weight. =p
After six days, I only have one conclusion; the best thing to lose weight is by exercising. Although the juice actually helps me to detox and clear out my digestive system by visiting the loo, but it is only a short term because once you finish it you will go back to square one.  (T.T)

Anyway, the product cost $39.90 at any local pharmacy and consist 6 bottles in a box. You can actually get this cheaper if you buy it in Malaysia (due to the exchange rate). So if you ever drop by in JB, go and get a box or two before you head back to Singapore.
I found the taste quite presentable, especially if it is chill before you drink. It mentioned that after 2 to 4 hours consuming you will experience the effect, but for me I found it otherwise, well...for the first 3 days.
1st day – No effect.
2nd day – Found myself visiting the loo more than 12 hours after consuming the first bottle. So the 2nd bottle didn’t have much effect on me.
3rd day – No effect.
4th day – Visited the loo after 3 hours consuming it.
5th day – As above.
6th day – Visited the loo after 2 hours.
Overall experience: no weight lost but felt better about myself as I felt more energy and have the mentality to focus in class.  Will I buy it again? Nope, because firstly it is quite pricey, secondly it is only for short term (6 days), and thirdly, I didn’t lose any weight. Perhaps it is only for me because I read other reviews that it actually works for them. I guess overall (in general), it really depends on each individual.

Hong Jun Live Bull Frog Porridge in Geylang @ Singapore

A friend of mine took me to Geylang to try the famous frog porridge. I was told it's quite popular in Singapore. Friends and family who knows me knew that I hate eating porridge, even when I'm sick I will not even touch them... unless I'm forced to. I told my friend that I’m not a big fan of it but I did not mind the frog meat since it is my favorite. Together with my other 3 friends, we went to venture out...even though there is a possibility that I might not eat it.
We arrived quite early at Kallang MRT station and while waiting for another friend, we went to this shop ‘Mr Bean’ to have some snacks. My friend ordered one cup of soya bean while another friend ordered a Soya Bean favoured Ice-Cream, while I on the other hand was busy taking these photos .

My friends were nice enough to share it with me and after tasting it, I find myself enjoying the taste of the ice-cream. The drink taste like normal soya bean, but it was the soya bean ice cream that I find it intriguing. It is much healthy taking this ice-cream, compared with the one we take in McDonald’s one dollar cone. I think it is worth trying it, and it only cost SGD$1.50 in a cone.
When our friend finally arrived, we started our journey. The walk begins from Kallang MRT station and it is a 10 to 15 minutes walk, so be well prepared.

When we finally arrived, the shop has yet to open since it only opens at 7.30pm. My Vietnamese friend ordered one pot of mushroom chicken feet with rice, shared by four gals. I enjoyed the gravy, but not the mushroom nor the chicken feet as I do not like either one of them. My Vietnamese friend seems to be enjoying herself and she ate almost all of it since she was hungry and it was her favourite.

I on the other hand decided to order a plate of French fries (SGD$3). The fries was delicious, but I find that the ladies who serve us seems unfriendly as I only ordered one plate of fries instead of the main course, or perhaps I was speaking to them in English?

I ordered a cup of my favourite Ice Lemon Tea (from Pokka) and we gals sat around and munch on the fries as we wait for the stall to open so that we can order the porridge. Please note that you have to come early because the shops here have limited tables so if you come late, be well prepared to wait. I've seen people waiting around for some time before getting their table.

When the stall finally opens, I went to order the set which comes with 5 frogs and two pots of porridge. However, do note that the uncle who takes the order is not really friendly, and he is quite rude. For those who cannot handle these kind of attitude, please ask someone to order on your behalf, especially those who can’t really converse in mandarin. Nevertheless, I just blush it off since I was there with my friends.

It took almost 15 minutes before the food came. The food costs $22. The smell was
heaven, because I ordered the frog meat with ginger. You can order one with spicy if you like it spicy. The porridge came next and for two big pots, it is sufficient for four gals.

Overall, I find the food is  delicious.....but it was the attitude of the stall owner that I did not like.  Perhaps if they have been friendlier I think the whole experience would have been great since the good is good. Nevertheless, a big thanks to my buddies who showed me a good time eating porridge

Food taste: 4.5/5
Overall experience: 2/5

Review: Meiji Amino Collagen

I've always been a fan of collagen. If there is any sale on these products or any new products I will not be hesitate to buy them. But when I went back to study, many of these items or my favorite massage and facial have to be put off. However, I noticed lately that my face is showing sign of wrinkles and eye bags, I realise I have to do something about it (I know, I am quite vain about it, who wouldn't?!?).  Although taking care of your face and having a good night sleep is essential, but our body is reducing the collagen that we need in our body as we age [Yes...I am getting older (T.T)]. However, I have been reading some reviews about Meiji Amino Collagen and that it helps to bring some perks in our skin. I decided that I should try out this product, since they were on sales in Watson.
The package I bought consists of two cans of 200mg each (which can last me approximately 2 months) and 7 days sachets, which cost me SDG$99.90. It is kind of pricey, but then this product can last me for two months, compared to some products which will cost me SGD$40 for only a 6 or 10 days of consumption. To start off with, some photos of the product.
The front view of the tin.

The content of the powder inside with the spoon.

The smell seems okay to me although there are some reviews mentioned that the smell of the fish is quite strong. Somehow I find the smells quite pleasant and still acceptable, maybe due to the long term users of Scott’s Emulsion Cold Liver oil (I prefer the original flavors).  Anyhow, I usually mixed it with a cup of cold milk or a cup of hot Milo because I find that the taste is more pleasant, compared with mixing it with fruit juice.

And after using, there is a cap cover where u can close the can before putting away.

So far, there is still no significant changes since I only try this out in a short period of time (3 weeks). I think you'll  only see results if you continued consuming this product after a month or so . Of course it depends on each individual and how well it can absorb by our body. I will give another review after one month and update you on these products. =)
