Boat Noodle @ The School At Jaya One

I was hanging out with my friend at Jaya One and we stumble upon Boat Noodle (by chance). We have heard about this restaurant for some time and we were eager to try out their noodle...although I was still full from our late brunch earlier....like 2 hours ago.

The restaurant was already packed when we went in around 4pm but we got a small table almost immediately since there were only 2 of us. The interior looks like a traditional Thai's shop and one would feel like that they're in Thailand.

Fill in the order chit and pass to one of the staff to place your order.

Boat Noodle's One Page Menu.
*Note: They do not serve dry noodle here*

The back of the menu explained the difference sauce used for the noodle.

My friend was pleasantly surprise how small the portion was when served. Each bowl had about 2 tablespoon of rice noodles, 1 meatball, small bits of meat, bean sprouts and gravy of your choice. The beaf noodle has more flavourful taste compared to the pork noodle.

We ordered their Thai Pandan Dessert; Ka-nam Tuay (RM1 for 2). The pandan desserts were served in saucers and has two layers; a coconut top and a pandan base.

Chicken and Beaf Meat Balls. Simply delicious.

Most of the customer who comes to Boat Noodle can be seen stacking their bowls. My friend & I were there to savour and experience the taste so we only stacked up 4 bowls (LOL).

Overall the service was good and the staff who seated us was attentive and friendly. We personally like the meat balls than the noodles. We find the portion of the noodle is quite small...even though it's only RM1.90 per bowl.

Sushi Tei @ Ngee Ann City/Takashimaya (SINGAPORE)

Have dinner with my buddy after shopping in Takashimaya.  Was craving for some Japanese cuisine and decided to have it at Sushi Tei. Waited for a while for the queue but fortunately we didn't have to wait long.

Since there were only two of us, we ordered Sashimi salad with sesame dressing to share. Fresh and delicious. Can't go wrong with this.

Mini phoenix roll to share. A great combination; unagi (eel) with tempura prawns, avocado and sushi rice. This roll brings out an interesting flavour. Simply delicious.

For the main course I ordered Char Siew Ramen.
Generous portion of the noodle and char siew.

My friend have 'Niku Ramen'. The noodles were quite filling for us after taking few mouthful of it. Should have order one bowl to share cause we feel like our stomach will explode anytime.

Overall the food is great and the service is fast even though the place was packed. Great food and nice atmosphere to go to with you friends or family.

Rocky Master @ Delfi Orchard (SINGAPORE)

I came to know about this cafe because a good friend of mine works here. She told me that the desserts here are good so I went there with a few friends of mine to try it out.

Rocky Master serves fusion foods in Delfi Orchard.
You can easily spot the cafe as it's located outside the ground floor of Delfi Orchard.

The cafe is pretty quiet when I dropped by around 5pm on weekdays. It's perfect for reading or just a cup of coffee and watch the people walks by when seated next to the window. They have comfortable couches for guest to relax.

Menu items include a mix of local delights and western.

Have a cup of 'Devil's Latte' which I find it's not bad.

Tried their hawaiian pizza; a thin pizza base with lots of sweet fresh pineapple cubes and thick slices of ham. It tasted really good and was quite filling.

A fan of desserts, my friend recommended to try their cheese cake.
The cheesecake is nice and what I like about it that it wasn't too cheesy.

My personal favourite is perhaps the 'Tiramisu'. It was superb!
Highly recommended to try this as the texture is soft and tasty.

From the picture below it pretty much sums up everything. Overall, the pizza and desserts are beyond exceptional. The cafe is pretty quiet in the evenings and it's a perfect place to relax or just hang out with your friends.

My Visits To 'Innisfree' In Singapore (Opening Soon In Malaysia)

I had read nothing but good reviews on 'Super Volcanic Pore Clay Mask' and I was keen to get it. Unfortunately it was not available in Malaysia and when I get the chance to go down to Singapore last week, I dropped by at one of their outlets in Takashimaya Shopping Centre (located at #B2-34/35).

South Korean actor/singer Lee Min Ho is the Innisfree global brand ambassador.
There's a big cardboard cut out of him to greet you when you're here. Emoji

The products that are available in Innisfree Singapore are pretty much up to date as Korea’s and offers a wide range of skincare and cosmetics that caters to different needs and concerns.

The brand name “innisfree” means “free island”, with an effort to provide healthy beauty for customers with the benefits of nature offered by Jeju island and to actualize an Eco-friendly green life that treats nature with respect.

To celebrate Christmas, Innisfree has launched limited edition collection in celebration of green christmas.

Perfect gift ideas for the holiday season.

Snap shot on the other side of the shop.

Various selection of Nail colour to choose from. Would have taken more pictures but I was stopped by one of the staff and was told that pictures were not allowed. Emoji

Initially I only wanted to get the Super Volcanic Pore Clay Mask....

....but ended up buying the whole range instead.
Will write up a review once I try them out.
All the product range are cater for oily skin.

Since I returned back to Malaysia, I came to know that Innisfree will launch its first Malaysian store in Sunway Pyramid on December 5th. Free Mystery Gift will be given out to the first 50 in queue at the grand opening.

I should be happier that innisfree will be available in Malaysia....but wished I have know it earlier cause I went back to the store to buy few more of the products. Emoji

Anyone attending the launching of the store next week? I'll still deciding since I've gotten everything I need while in Singapore. I guess I have to wait and see when the time comes.

Creative Ideas For Sunny Side Egg At Breakfast

One creative mother came up with a novel way of making sure her children eat their breakfast by using eggs to make works of art. Sculpted into a variety of extraordinary designs, culinary genius, Anne Widya, uses sunny side up eggs to make sure her children's plates are always cleared. Made using a cookie cutter and sushi wrap, the mother-of-four gets her creative juices flowing by serving eggs in an assortment of shapes from smiling pigs to ice cream sundaes. Anne’s incredible talent first began as way to cheer up her son, Andrew, who was off sick from school but soon turned into a fully fledged hobby. (Photo By Anne Widya/Caters News)
