Special Gift: My First iMac

The last 2 weeks my laptop was down and was send for service. The long waiting time was due to parts which needed to be order from oversea as the parts can't be obtain locally. :( I was having difficulty using my mum's iPad to do my work.  So imagine my surprise when dad took me to the shop and asked me to choose a computer....as a gift from him! *Super happy & excited*

I was deciding whether to get a laptop or a desktop. Eventually, dad advised to choose the desktop since I'll have my laptop back once it was fixed. iMac seems appropriate for me....given the 21.5 inch monitor...and it helps for video editing for my bigger projects. I was told that this computer will take on heavier editing loads...which is a must for me. 

Finally...I got my new iMac home. Love the packaging of the box.

Super heavy to carry it around but it was defiantly compact and easy to carry.

I love how Apple put an effort in packing their computer as it make easier for us to remove them. 

The small box contained the wireless keyboard and mouse. 
Super sleek and stylish. 

Took me less than 5 minutes to set up. I plugged in the AC Adapter, plugged in the USB Keyboard, and hit the power button. It then instructed me to flip the power switch on my Magic Mouse and then I was ready for the setup. Super easy and breeze. 

I admit it took me a while to get used to using an iMac....but like my cousin said, once you're used to it you'll be hook on it.  And ya, I'm super loving my new 'toy'! A big thanks to my dear Pa for this wonderful gift.

Freebies: Electronic Portable Scale & Korjo TSA Card Lock

Got a package a while back. I wasn't expecting a package nor did I order anything so when I received this package, I was quite puzzled. I thought it may be a bomb or something since the package labelled "Fragile". 

After opening up and reading the letter, only then it dawn on me that I have participated one of the campaign earlier and I was one of the lucky few who got rewarded. If you're not aware, you need to send an SMS to be eligible to participate this type of contest (which you can find at the last page of your credit card statement or via SMS sent by Citibank). I have forgotten about it since I wasn't expecting to win anything (nor do I know what is the prizes). 

I must say I was really surprised once I opened the package to find not only one but TWO gifts in it...which is really useful and great for travelling in the future. And best of all, I was planning to buy the portable scale since I may need it for travelling....what a great timing :)

Gift From My Bestie - Owl Iphone Cover :)

Got a lovely gift from my bestie. Guess over the years she knows what my like and dislike. She actually gotten me a cute owl Iphone cover for me. What can I say, I was really happy when I received this and I have been using it ever since. Alicia, if you're reading this, thank you for the lovely gift. Although we are far away from each other and we do not keep in touch as we used to, I am thankful everyday that you and Sally are my best of friends. Miss you always. 

My Birthday Gift - Big Bottle of Lennox Firm Up Collagen Drink!!!

The other day, my buddy suprised me with a big bottle of Lennox Firm Up Collagen Drink for my belated birthday present. ^^ I have my suspicious when she called me and asked what is the name of the collagen drink I was taking as she explained that one of her colleague wanted to get one but was uncertain which brand. LOL.

Nevertheless, a big thanks to my buddy (Ja). I finally got another month supply of Collagen drink. What more can a girl ask for?!?!?! ^^

Belated Birthday Celebration - 3 times!

My birthday for this year was really special...not only I get to go on a lovely holiday getaway...upon my return I get to celebrate my belated birthday with my families & friends....3 times!!!

On my previous blog, I mentioned that my lovely families celebrated my belated birthday with this lovely (Healthy) cake.  

A few days later, met up with my high school mates and celebrated my birthday too.

A day later, my buddies surprised me with a belated birthday cake at her new place @ house warming  (Lov u OCY for arranging and planning).

All I can say....."Thank you from the bottom of my heart".

This birthday is the best because not only it is special (3x) but also because you all remembered.

 Best birthday gift for remembering and sharing this day with me.

Belated Birthday =)

Hi All! I'm back after missing for two weeks. Yup...my holiday in Europe was fantastic and there are so many stories & photos to share with you all. However, that posting will be much later. =p

Anyway, this year my birthday I was in Europe so my trip is more like a birthday present to me.   However, my lovely family and relatives decided to celebrate my belated birthday.

Ta daa...my birthday cake. It's better late than never right?  =)

 

It will not be complete without birthday candles and birthday song right? ^^

Farewell Gift - Singapore Snowglobe

A dear friend of mine gave this to me as a farewell gift. It was such a lovely gesture because initially we were suppose to be getting this together. When I wanted to pay her back she said it was a gift from her since I'm heading back to my country for good.

Thanks to her, it seems I will be collecting snowglobe for my future travel ^^  (not sure its a good thing or a bad thing). I always love snowglobe but the smaller one I felt it was too small, and the big one is too big =p  What do you think? Are you a snowglobe collecter???

Surprise Goodies from Taiwan - Face Mask

A friend of mine recently went to Taiwan for a holiday and she came back with a bag of goodies for me. 

I just love the masks that she got for me because these masks have ear hooks to put over your ears.
