Travel Blog: Our Stay At Fairways and Bluewater Resort @ Boracay

When my friend and I booked our air tickets to Boracay for a short getaway, my friend leaves everything to me...from booking of our transportation, itinerary and most importantly to our accommodation.

I often go to booking.com and tripadvisor for reviews and it usually take me days before deciding a place to stay. I was quite happy that I was able to booked a resort at Fairways & Bluewater because it offers a private beach and it's far away from the crowds.  The room cost Php15,040 (approximately RM1,138) for our 5D4N stay (the resort were having promotion at the time).

When we're arrived at the lobby, I was amazed how wide and spacious the lobby was. I loved the open concept of the lobby.

The staff were quite attentive and served us a refreshing cold drinks once we arrived. Check-in took a while at the reception as passport was needed for verification and credit card was put on hold to cover any incidentals. The receptionist will check with the guest if transportation is needed on the day when guest check-out so that they can make the necessary arrangement on the spot.

Once it was done, we took the shuttle service to our villa.

The room we stayed in (two queen sized beds) was big.
Four adults can stay in this room.

Our room overlooking the golf course.

The bathroom is spacious and it can even accommodates a closet.
Comes with basic toiletries in the bathroom.

There's even a kitchen sink in the room, with coffee maker  (or water boiler) and a microwave. Adapter is available in the room, which by the way is for the hair dryer and the coffee maker.

The resort offers several options for you to explore the island during your stay in the resort. You don't have to go through the hassle of haggling the price as all prices are fixed by the resort (although it's possible to get it cheaper outside).

As the villa we stayed is far away from the main restaurant and the beach, we need to use the shuttle service to transport ourselves around the resort. There's a guard/staff on duty stationed in each villa so you can be rest assure that you don't have to wait long.

The resort offer free shuttle to D’Mall every hour until 10 PM.

Our room comes with buffet breakfast. The choice of foods were okay and sufficient. They do not serve the usual American breakfast such as sausage and bacon, but they have staff to cook your eggs on the spot.

Their private beach was the highlight of our stay in this resort.

Away from the crowded beach of Boracay, this place is quiet and pristine.
Look at the clear water, can't get any clearer than that!

Noted on the signboard to be aware for sea urchins and jelly fish.

The beach here is really clean and much calmer as compare to the beach at Station 1 & 2. You can even feed the fish right there and then.

The swimming pool nearby is big. There are four swimming pools (if I'm not mistaken) in this resorts and this is the biggest pool facing the beach.

There's a staircase leading up to the hill nearby where you can watch the sunset. We only climb up the stairs out of curiosity on our last day as we saw few guest up at the hills and realise that there is actually a villa up there (with a swimming pool as well). Beautiful scenery and great to have your photos taken up here. :)

All in all we had a great time at the resort and I must say 5D4N passed so quickly that you want to stay another night. The only downside I can think of is that there is no free wifi access. Payment is needed to access wifi but it's only available at the lobby area. Overall, our stay at Fairways and Bluewater has been simply enjoyable and memorable.
