Ichiriki Japanese Restaurant @ The Gardens Mall

It's been a while since I have tonkatsu and decided to check out Ichiriki Japanese restaurant which specialized in tonkatsu.

They were having this opening promotion when we were here.

The interior of the restaurant is pretty spacious and cozy. The only thing we dislike was the light that was right above us, which we find a bit too glaring for our eyes.

Ichiriki has several set menu to choose from, as well as ala carte.

Cute Money Saving Change Box

I was walking around at Midvalley today when I came across this cute money saving box. There were few designs but found these the cutest. Looks good as display right? I was so tempted to get it when I first saw it.

My personal favorite is this box. Looks like savings for travel ✈️ Every month I have to put away some of my earning so that I can travel to my favorite country...Japan 😁

I got to admit, I was so tempted to get it but I didn't. Nowadays I tend to think consistently before purchase. I just take these pictures and wait for a few days to decide if I still want it.  For now, I just keep my money in the bank 🏦💰

I found these 2 pictures on my phone when I was in Singapore a while back. I really like the 'Travel Fund' box. I thought about getting it when I first saw it. Somehow I've forgotten all about it 😁

There were other designs as well. They look really pretty for display. Not sure how it looks once you put money in it though.

Hotel Review: UNIZO INN Kanazawa Hyakumangoku Dori

There're many options while looking for accommodation in Kanazawa. This round I was traveling with a friend so budget is something I have to consider, other than convenience and comfort. Eventually, I booked a room at UNIZO INN Kanazawa Hyakumangoku Dori.

When we arrived at Kanazawa Station, we went and bought a one day pass (500 yen) at the counter (pic below).  It's easier and faster getting to the hotel by bus.

You can take the Kenrokuen Shuttle or the Loop Bus (Left Loop) and get off at the next stop at Omicho Market. It's only 4 minute walk to the hotel from Omicho Market.

We were famished when we arrived at the hotel and we left our luggage and walked back to Omicho Market to have our lunch (we can only check-in after 2pm). Our first meal in Kanazawa is the best!!! No kidding, look at the picture below to see what we have for lunch 😋 🔽

If you're wondering where we have our lunch, this restaurant is located on the 2nd floor. You can check out their website here

Hotel Review (2019): Hotel G Singapore - Single Room

On a recent trip to Singapore I stayed at Hotel G for 5 nights.
It's my second time staying here, the first was back in 2018.

I wanted to stay in a familiar surrounding and my last stay here was pretty good so I decided to stay here again. The hotel is only a few minute's walk to Bencoolen MRT and there's a bus stop nearby. The only difference is that I stayed in a single room this round, as compared to 'Good Room Queen' previously.

In my opinion, the design of the single room is perfect for one person.

The space in the room is sufficient, even for someone with a large suitcase.

Everything you need in the room....TV, complimentary wifi, electronic safe, hairdryer, tea and coffee making facilities. The only thing that is not available in the room is a fridge.
