Small Surprises 💕

With the current pandemic, my birthday ended up being cooped up at home....same as last year. No eating out nor meet up with any of my friends >.<

However, got a surprise by my bestie. Received a lovely bouquet of flowers and cake from bestie.....

...and another cake from my nieces and cousin 😍

Just a simple celebration at home with my family...home cooked food and angpow from my parent 😁

My wishes is that my parent and friends are healthy & safe...and pray that this pandemic will be over soon.

Celebrating 'Boxing Day' With Family

It's not often we celebrate boxing day together.
But when we do, you can expect loads of food!

And I mean loads of it!!!!

Took a group picture of us altogether.
And yes, I often gained weight during the festive season.

One last pic of all the food before attacking them.
Happy boxing day everybody!!! ^^

Day Out With Bestie

I am pretty excited when bestie came back from Singapore and will be staying put in KL for a few months. And best of all she will be giving birth anytime soon.  As her bestie, I look forward to her baby's arrival.

Accompanied bestie to the clinic for her weekly check-up and she seemed worried cause her baby was getting too big. Fortunately, the baby is healthy and bestie was advised to watch her diet. She showed me the ultrasound image but I've no idea what I'm looking at (lol). Thankfully her baby is healthy and that's what important.

After her check-up we head over to Antipodean for brunch.

Bestie was glad to get out of the house and we enjoyed catching up with gossip and stories. We came out on a weekday so the shopping mall was pretty quiet.

We went shopping for baby stuff and although it was fun looking through the baby products, I must admit they can get pretty pricey. Some of the items are more expensive than grown-up stuff 😅 After shopping for a nursing pillow and 3 piece set, it was time to send my friend back because she was feeling tired.

To my bestie Alicia, please take care of yourself and I look forward to your baby arrival soon. :)

Missing The Good Old Days!

Was going through some of my old photos and came across these photos which I took with my ex school mates. Ahh...how times flies. Can't believe this was taken when we were 21. We all look so innocent back then!

Yes....seriously ages ago this photo was taken. Hopefully none of them will see this picture cause I know a few of them will most probably kill me if they ever see me posting this picture, let alone on a blogpost. LOL! Oh well, at least if I ever misplace these photos, I know where to find them for backup.

I really missed the good old days where we often hang out at our friend's place. Whenever I look back all the photos that we took back then, all those fond memories will replay back in my head.

I guess it's high time to pick up the phone and call the gang out for a gathering. Apart from that, I'm looking forward to September when my best friend return to Malaysia for a 6 month break. Cant wait!!!

Picking Up Drawing Again

Recently I redeemed my points for this set of Faber-Castell colour pens and pencils. Just thought of getting these to try out. It's practically free since I redeemed using the points I have.

Why the sudden change? Well, the other day I found one of my artwork which I drew way back in high school. Can't believe it was years ago that I drew this...and I'm surprise that it's still in top condition. Yup, those days I was a big fan of Sailormoon. I remembered back then I'll borrow comic books from one of the rented book shop and I will draw out my favourite character. Ahh...those were the good old days.

I guess when I entered college and workforce, I sort of let my passion slip through. I wished I have continued drawing at my spare time and kept all the artwork I drew.  Sadly it was all discarded, except for this one. Regretted not keeping any of it cause when I look at my one and only drawing, I realised back then how much I loved drawing....although colouring wasn't my best.

Picking up what I left off won't be easy....especially I'm not as patience as I used to be. I have to start somewhere though...and why not just start off with a simple drawing with these basic tools. Wish me luck.

One Year Since You've Been Gone

To an uncle whom I missed dearly. There are no words to describe my feelings when news came that you had passed on. The news of your passing was too sudden, and everyone who had known you were left speechless and shock. I never get the chance to tell you how much I respected and cared for you.

While growing up, I've always seen you smiling, telling jokes and entertained us when we're together. I was always the quiet girl with a book in my hand to avoid eye contact. Despite my quiet personality and unsocial attitude, you always find ways to coach me to talk and make a joke to make me smile. Even after so many years you never failed to make me laugh, even though you had told the jokes several times.

I remembered few nights before you left, I knew that you were losing appetite but you just dismissed it and telling us that you're full. It was unlike you because you always have a hearty meal when you're with us.

I regret that I seldom talk to you when you were around. I always take it for granted thinking that you'll be with us for many years to come. Looking back then, I realise how selfish and inconsiderate I can be as you always wanted to spend more time with us during the weekends. Every Saturday night is our family gathering time.

I missed you Uncle Ben. I regret that I never get the chance to bid farewell on the day you passed away. I always thought that you're a strong man who will come out from anything. Even the last operations you had was a success and the doctor even declared that you're healthy and recovering well.

I will treasure the memories we had and remember the laughter and joy that you have given us. It was not the same after you're gone. Somehow the family dinner seem so much quiet and empty without your laughter and your presence.

The only comfort I have was that you did not suffer and that you had passed away peacefully. My only regret that I wasn't there to say goodbye and thanked you for being a great uncle in my life...as well to the rest of the people you had touched and helped. Uncle Ben, thank you for being a great uncle. You will be missed from all of us.

My Visits To The Popular Book Fair 2014

I told myself last year that I will not attend the annual popular book fair this year...but since I've promised to accompany my buddy....so here I am....again. Yes...I was quite reluctant to go because for the last 2 years I went....the crowds were quite overwhelming for me.  My buddy told me that the crowds will be lesser this year since most of them would have 'balik kampung' due to the long public holiday (Hari Raya). Well...guess what...my buddy was soooooooo wrong. (=.=)""

Oh well... at least my buddy is happy when I decided to go since buddy hated going alone.
Here we are with our wrist tag. Paid RM2.50 for the entrance fee.

I didn't really take a lot of photos other than this 3 pictures here. Moreover, you can't really take much anyway since most pictures will mostly ended up with crowds of people...and of course rows of books. Yup...didn't want to bored anyone with the boring pictures here.

I guess the only comfort is after going through all this hassle....seeing my buddy in such a joyful mood...especially after meeting her favourite author...it was all worth it. :)

Oh well...happy holidays everybody!

Foodie & Buddy In Singapore

Whenever I head down to Singapore for a short getaway, I will always meet up with my favourite girls. This round, I get to include all of them to have dinner together, rather than meeting individually. ^^

However, every time we meet up, it can be a pain to decide where to have dinner since they only finish work after 6pm and most of the time our get together (or my trip down) always fall on Friday....which is the weekends. And that means crowded place or long queue everywhere. *No kidding!

Here we are at one of the restaurant which we supposedly going to dine but one look at the menu we decided to head somewhere else instead. *The place was super expensive although loads of people come here to dine*

Eventually we end up dining at ChatterBox at Mandarin Orchard Hotel, thanks to my bestie who has a discount card to dine here. hehe. You can read about my last dining experience hereEmoji

Posing in front of the camera.

All the dishes we ordered. Yup...have to take a pic of this before the gals can eat. Fortunately they're used to me taking food pics so they didn't mind.

What I love coming here is because the place here is way much quiet and the space here is wider for us to chit chat without having the next table hearing our conversation. Definitely enjoyed the time I spent with the gals here. Emoji

Day Out With Ethan Boy :)

Some random pics I took of my friend's son.
Can't believe he is 3 years old now.

He can be sweet and cute...but he can be a bit cheeky at times. Emoji

Like most boys, they can be quite a handful as they can be more 'active' than girls.
Poh Poh have to put on a 'leash' on him so that he won't run away. Emoji
Ethan boy, stay happy and healthy always k. Emoji

Happy Birthday To My Sweet Niece

Happy 13th Birthday to my sweet niece. :)

Can't believe you are 13 years old already.

And to think you were only a baby back then when I first held you in my arms. How times flies by.

Making a wish on her birthday.

Cutting her birthday cake.

Happy birthday to you Amber. I wished you don't have to grow up so fast.
And yes, you don't have to remind me that I am XX older than you whenever one of us have our birthday. >.<
Stay happy, healthy & safe always. :)

Birthday dinner was held at MAMA MIA Restarant & Bistro, our favourite restaurant for family gathering and dinning. ^^

Belated Birthday Celebration With Family

Birthday cake from my dear family.
"Thank you for putting one candle on the cake so it won't remind me how old I am" :p

Thanks to Nancy for taking this pic. I must admit I don't like having my picture taken but this is exception...since it's my birthday.

Best thing on my birthday....Angpow!!!! 'Ka-Ching $$$'
Once again, a big thank you to my family for the lovely dinner and prezzie/angpow. :D
