Belated Birthday Celebration With The Family (2021)

A belated birthday celebration with my cousin and pa. Due to lockdown, we were not able to celebrate their birthday.....until now (when RMCO was lifted). 

We have dinner at home instead of celebrating outside at the restaurant. My mum still feels uncomfortable eating out so we have cooked dishes and takeaway at home. 

And boy was it a feast for all of us.

Grocery Stock Up & MCO Part 2 😓

Went to the grocery today to stock up some goods. There is a possibility of another movement control order (MCO) so mum suggested that I head out to Village Grocer to get all the necessities we need...just in case.  

I went in the morning and although there were fewer people there were people queuing at the cashier. There will an update later on whether there will be another enforcement of MCO. 

On the way back I decided to stop by at the florist to check out some of the plants they have. Took these 3 pictures which I really like. May consider getting a few plants to brighten up my room. 

An interesting bouquet. Perhaps a great gift for those who love beer 😂.

And later part of the day....the update that everyone dread hearing it. Yup, another MCO...starting this Wednesday, from the 13th until the 26th Jan (OMG). Looks like it will another 14 days being cooped up at home 😭.

Fireworks & First Day of the New Year

Happy New Year! I can't believe it's already 2020! How time flies.....and I'm starting to feel old (LOL). Anyway, after the fireworks on new year's eve, I went to sleep early because on new year day it was a reunion gathering with my family and nieces. 

One of my nieces came back for a short break from London so it was a reunion gathering for us. She was returning back to UK next week so I took this opportunity to catch up with her and have our pictures taken. Despite our age gap, we get along pretty well....although we rarely kept in touch now since she started her Uni. 

After the reunion gathering and lunch, I went to the mall with my parents. It looks like everyone is preparing for the Chinese New Year. All the CNY goodies were on display everywhere, and even the lou sang and tangerine is already put up in the supermarket. 

Just few days ago the mall nearby it was still decorated with Christmas decoration...and now it's already Chinese New Year decorations. I guess the next couple of weeks we will most probably be having spring cleanings at home😅Oh well....Happy New Year!

Christmas Day at Home with a Feast

Christmas day was spent at home with the family. 

And this round mum ordered roast chicken for lunch 🍗😍

The food was delivered to our house. Thank god for the delivery service. Roast chicken cost rm75 and delivery cost is an additional cost (depending on your location). 

Doesn't it look great? We prepared our own garlic bread, broccoli and potato salad 😋

We enjoyed the roast chicken. It's the best we've ever had (seriously!). Even my dad can't stop complimenting (which is kinda rare) 😆

Happy Hazy Mooncake Festival

Today is the mooncake festival. 

Although I don't celebrate but I still get wishes from my friends :)

Took a picture of the air outside the window. 

Had to stay indoor as the reading of the air had worsened. 

Looking at the haze really annoys me. I don't understand why people have to burn the forest without considering the fact that its hazard to people's health?!?

To cheer me up, my neighbor bought over and gave us mooncakes!

Initially I was wondering why they gave us a box. 

Turn out it was actually mooncakes from Sheraton!

The packaging of the mooncake is already such a wow factor!

Put the battery and you can lit up the box. 

The box & the packaging itself must have cost a fortune 😮

I guess staying indoor isn't that bad while enjoying the mooncake after dinner. 

Anyway, happy hazy mid-autumn mooncake festival!

Dream Car Expo @ One Utama Shopping Centre

  There's a Dream Car Expo being held when I was in One Utama Shopping Centre.

I'm not really into car but I do admire sports car if I see them. 

Reminds me of Bumblebee when I see this colour.

My dad's favourite car brand.

Christmas Dinner With The Family

Its that time of the year again. Today's Christmas dinner we wanted to have it at home. So mum invited close friend's and family to our place for dinner. 

It's potluck so the guest bought over some of the dishes over. 

Start preparing & setting the table 🔽

To start off, we have the Vege dish....some healthy & some not 😅

Mum's friend baked this vegetarian quish. 

Surprisingly its really good...despite being vegetarian. 

The main dish - Roast chicken & baked ham. Yummy!

And lastly, my favourite potato salad.

I always look forward to this but only get to have this during Christmas day or new year's day. 

All the food out and ready to dig in....but first, one last pic before we attack!

Why is that Christmas day tend to passed by so quickly?!?

Guess have to look forward to next year again.

House Of MinaLima; A Pop-Up Store Featuring Harry Potter & Fantastic Beast in Tokyo

Happened to be roaming at the shopping center when I came across this pop up shop in Tokyo Solamachi (at the base of Tokyo Skytree). 

The wall outside of the pop up store was plaster with Harry Potter & Fantastic Beast poster. So you can guess its pretty much related to this 2 movies. 

The pop-up is essentially a miniature version of MinaLima’s shop in London.
