Hotel Review: My Stay at Red Planet Tokyo Asakusa

Decided to write up a hotel review on Red Planet Tokyo Asakusa. Stayed at this hotel for 5 nights early this April.

If you're coming from Haneda Airport, there's a direct train to Asakusa station (without changing train). The only downside...there's no lift at this station (Asakusa line). In short, you have to carry your heavy luggage through multiple of staircases 😖

A better option is to change train at Asakusa Station (from Asakusa line to Ginza line) and get off at "Tawaramachi Station" via Ginza line.

Getting off at Tawaramachi Station you'll be able to take a lift up to the street. Only knew about it on our 3rd day in Tokyo.

When we arrived at the hotel it was slightly after 11.30pm. Check-in was pretty quick and we were given our room keycard after verification.

Only 2 lifts in the hotel.

A key card is required to have access to the elevator to our floor.

Breath a sigh of relief as soon as we step into the room. For Japan standard the room is small but there's still room for 2 people to walk about as well as opening 2 large suitcases.

The bed is quite comfortable but only one pillow for each bed. Not certain if you can request an extra pillow but we were fine with one pillow during our stay.

Another view of the room.

The shower room is a bit small but the water pressure is really good.

Most hotels in Japan provide bathroom amenities.

Overall everything we need is all available in the room.

The view outside. We usually keep the curtain closed since there's a building opposite of us.

No worry about food because there's a number of restaurants and cafes near the hotel. If you arrive past midnight there's 3 convenience store nearby such as FamilyMart, Lawson and 7-eleven.

The hotel is within walking distance to the train station (Ginza & Asakusa Line).

In addition to that its walking distance to Sensō-ji Temple as well to other attraction nearby.

On a side note, if you're carrying a heavy suitcase and planned to head to Shibuya's direction please do not take this lift.

Cross the road to the opposite side and take the lift (as shown in the map below)Useful information if I ever decide to stay in this hotel in the future.

Overall the hotel is well located and we were pretty happy and comfortable during our stay here. To end this post I've included a walkthrough video of the room we stayed in.
