Brunch & Value Lunch Set at Marco Creative Cuisine @ One Utama Shopping Centre

Met up with an old friend at Marco Creative Cuisine for brunch. I've been here when it was newly opened but I didn't take any photo back then. So here I am when my friend asked me out for brunch at 1 Utama.

I like the ambiance of the restaurant because it's so cozy with the set up of the interiors.
I find it so comfortable that I think I can easily spend an hour or two here 😁

Initially thought of ordering Salmon or a gourmet burger....

...but we were here on a weekday and ended up ordering their value lunch set.

We had the Beef Burger (RM25)...

and Pork Bolognese (RM18.90) to share.

For beverages, we had the Ice Lemon Tea which comes with the set.
The food was pretty average but it was value for money as compared ordering ala carte.

Pretty tempted to order dessert while browsing their pancake & dessert section.

Instead, we ended up having coffee & cake at Jardin Coffee & Tee

Overall it's a nice experience at Marco and will return for other dishes with my family 😁

Fluffy Pancake for Breakfast at "A Happy Pancake Omotesando" | Cafe Hopping in Tokyo

I found a place where I wanted to try the most fluffiest pancake in Tokyo. There were several option but decided to try 'A Happy Pancake' which is located at Omotesando.

Its better to make a reservation before going so that you can avoid waiting in line.

When we arrived before 10am (on a weekday) I've noted that 8 tables were seated (mostly tourist)If you didn't make any reservation this is the best time to go. Since we've make a reservation the staff just show us to our table.

The ambience in the cafe is pretty cozy and the seats here are comfortable.

No worry if you do not understand Japanese, English menu is available in the cafe.
Their menu have good selection of fluffy pancakes.

A Trip To Starbucks at Fugan Canal Kansui Park @ Toyama Japan

When I planned a trip to Kanazawa I had planned to take a trip down to Toyama because I wanted to check out the Starbucks at the Fugan Unga Kansui Park.

A trip here takes around 20 minutes train ride from Kanazawa Station to Toyama Station.
From Toyama Station is only 10 to 15 minutes walk.

Thankfully the weather is clear and sunny when we came here.
Since its spring the view and the surrounding here is just breathtaking.

Could have arrived earlier but got lost along the way when we took a bus from Toyama Station 😅 If you're not sure how to go about the best way is to walk!

When we arrived at Starbucks there's already a long queue....which is form outside their store 😅 While queuing thought of trying Strawberry Frappuccino but eventually stick to my usual drink instead.

Although it was sunny outside but when the wind blows it can get a bit chilly. Glad that we're able to get into the store to warm ourselves...and to check out their colourful tumbler.

My personal favourite is this design. Thought of getting this but change my mind since I have few tumblers at home.  Took a picture of this instead.

At one glance the inside of the store looks pretty crowded right? I thought there wouldn't be any seat for us after placing our order.

Turn out that many of them prefer to sit outside under the cherry tree. I can understand why because its a beautiful day to be sitting outside (but I still find it too cold for me and my friends).

My friend got us a seat near the window while I went to get our drinks.

I got to say...the service here is excellent even though its crowded.

Having our brunch while overlooking the Fugan Canal and the Bridge Tower.

Such a gorgeous view.

Cheers to a beautiful sunny day.

We skipped going up to the Tenmonkyo Bridge Tower and took several pictures before heading back to the station. I'm glad that I'm able to take a trip here with my friend.

Below is a video of thesurrounding.
A lovely sunny day to have a picnic under the cherry blossom tree.

Hotel Review: My Stay at Red Planet Tokyo Asakusa

Decided to write up a hotel review on Red Planet Tokyo Asakusa. Stayed at this hotel for 5 nights early this April.

If you're coming from Haneda Airport, there's a direct train to Asakusa station (without changing train). The only downside...there's no lift at this station (Asakusa line). In short, you have to carry your heavy luggage through multiple of staircases 😖

A better option is to change train at Asakusa Station (from Asakusa line to Ginza line) and get off at "Tawaramachi Station" via Ginza line.

Getting off at Tawaramachi Station you'll be able to take a lift up to the street. Only knew about it on our 3rd day in Tokyo.

When we arrived at the hotel it was slightly after 11.30pm. Check-in was pretty quick and we were given our room keycard after verification.
