Woke up early to have our breakfast before our tour began.
The starting of the journey brings us to YanYan Gold Silver, a place for gold and silver crafting.
When you walked-in, you'll find workers making jewelry from silver.
Various jewelry are displayed in glass display case, making it easier for visitors to choose and see the variety and creativity of gold and silver here.
In general craft items on display, they have been attached by label of the price, but visitors who intend to buy can make an offer. However, we didn't show interest in them and left within a short while.
Next stop is Dewa Putu Toris.
You'll find beautiful paintings hanging on the wall for display or for sale.
The gallery here is huge with hundreds of paintings, arts and craft, drawn or handcraft by local artists and painters. You can directly purchase and ask for a discount if you're interest to purchase any of the paintings here. Unfortunately, no photography is allowed inside the gallery (except for the entrance).
We stopped at Mas Wood Carver village to see wood carvings. These Balinese artist practically can carve anything. Here are the pictures to show their exquisite talent in craving.
Dedy took us to one of the restaurant for lunch. Unfortunately we do not know the name of this place since he took us to this restaurant. There're other restaurant nearby but he recommended us to come here for our meal.
This is the view when you walked into the restaurant.
Beautiful green paddy field.
Interior of the restaurant.
Placed an order for 'Crispy Duck' since we have heard that this is a must try when we're in Bali. Fried crispy duck with Balinese special sauce and satay. Served with vegetable and steamed rice. Find the duck a bit too small and dry.
Mie Kuah. Boiled noodle with vegetable, chicken, egg and prawn. Not recommended as this dish is super plain and tasteless.
Fried Rice, served with crackers.
After lunch, we head to Tirtha empul, a holly spring water temple.
Tirtha Empul comes from a Hindu legend of a battle between the king Mayadenawa and the god Indra. After Indra’s army’s water was poisoned by Mayadenawa, Indra created the fresh water spring to cure his soldiers .It was named Tirtha Empul, meaning bubbling spring, and to this day is believed to hold healing powers.
Quite a number of people performing the rituals under the fountains to bathe away ailments of the body and mind.
We were told that the fountain actually come from this untouched bubbling spring.
On our way out, there is a large pool with hundreds of Koi fish inside.
The Koi fish here are huge! We bought some food to feed the fish.
We stopped for a coffee break, where we sampled a variety of coffee’s, including the famous Luwak coffee at Bas. Coffee beans digested by Luwak ( a small raccoon type animal), and then collected, cleaned, roasted for an incredibly smooth coffee.
Ordered 2 cups of Luwak coffee and comes with 11 type of drinks for Free.
It was kind of relaxing while having our coffee here.
The weather was cooling and we were surrounded by trees.
Head up to Kintamani to view the mount batur and lake Batur. Entrance fee : Rp12,500 per person. One word to describe this scenery... WOW. Absolutely breathtaking. Great place to have your pictures taken here.
We made a brief stop at Tegalalang Rice Terrace Paddy Field (about 10 minutes) to look around. The paddy field can be seen just beside the road.
Paddy field was our last stop before Dedy send us back to our hotel.
Refreshed ourselves in hotel before we explore around to look for a place for dinner. We walked quite far before we decided on made's warung. The menu which they provide at the tables comes in simple translation. Took a while for us to figure out before ordering.
The portion are smaller than expected and the food were cold when served after waiting for 45 minutes. Service were a bit slow, possible due to the crowds. Nothing to shout about the food although we were told that this restaurant serve good authentic Indonesian food.
After our meal, decided to treat ourselves ice-cream before we head back to our hotel. Great way to end our day with sweet desserts (despite our disappointment with our meal earlier).
