The Embassy @ The Starling Mall, Damansara Uptown

I met up with my friend at Starling Mall when we decided to have our brunch at The Embassy

Their menu looks interesting while browsing their menu outside the restaurant.

We came on a Monday and the sign on the wall caught my eyes.
Yeah for the RM5 coffee Mondays 😁

We were here for brunch on a weekday and the place was quite empty. We took a seat at the corner so that I could catch up with my friend whom I've not met for ages.

Click on the pictures for a larger image of their menu.

Ice Chocolate (RM13) & Latte (RM5 on a Monday).
I ended up ordering another coffee 😁 (thanks to the coffee promotion)

Soft Shell Grab Olio (RM29).
Love the crispy deep-fried soft crab 😋

Ambassador's Big Breakfast (RM27).

Good portion size for both dishes. Great to share :)

Enjoyed the cozy ambiance and our brunch at The Embassy.
Certainly worth dropping by if you are in Starling Mall.

Thai Hou Sek 泰好食 @ One Utama Shopping Center, Petaling Jaya

Happened to pass by 'Thai Hou Sek' when my friend & I were walking around at One Utama Shopping Center. I thought it would be nice to try something different from our usual big breakfast or Japanese food.

I love the retro ambiance of the restaurant.

We would have ordered their Value Set Meal but we weren't that keen on the set meal for 2.

Little Bourke @ TTDI

I rarely come to this neighborhood and I thought a change of venue would be nice when I arranged to have lunch at Little Bourke

At one glance the cafe looks pretty cozy.

It was a hot day outside so it was no brainer to sit inside with the aircon on.

Browsing their menu while waiting for my friend.

Have a cup of cappuccino while waiting.

My friend was running late as she got lost looking for the cafe because she wasn't familiar around this area (she doesn't know how to use google map 😅). Big thanks to the staff at Little Bourke for taking the time & effort to guide her to the cafe.

My friend ordered Big Breakfast because she was starving by the time she arrived. My friend commented it was like any other big breakfast we had in other cafes...but a bit healthier since there wasn't any hashbrown on the plate 😂

I have the 100g Steak & Eggs, something different for a change. This dish is delicious and I have the steak cooked as medium-rare, just the way I like it. I wasn't that hungry so the portion was just right for me. But if I was starving I don't think this would be enough for me.

As always I got to have pictures taken....with my half drank Cappuccino on the side.
You got to admit it, the presentation of the dishes looks pretty good.

I really love the interior decor at Little Bourke and wouldn't mind coming back again on my own. Defiantly worth a visit if you love the high quality and instagrammable of the food 😆

Taking Small Steps To Declutter & Selling Things Away | My Journey to Declutter

For these few months, I have been decluttering and selling things I don't need anymore. Although my blog post I usually cover cafes and places I've been, I thought I will jot down on the things I sold or giveaway, so that I can look back and see what I had bought....and eventually sold (and sharing the stories behind those things I acquired & my thoughts on 'what the heck' was I thinking when I got these)

For this post, I thought I will write down how I came about getting these postcards. When I was studying in Australia many moons ago....I love to buy postcards, especially to places that I've been to.  The wooden postcard is perhaps my favourite because it was actually a gift before my graduation. I actually had a lot more but gave some of it away through the years. I still look at these postcards from time to time, before putting back into one of my 'safe-keep' boxes.

Fast forward to 2019....this year I decided I should try selling some of the things that I don't use anymore...which includes these postcards. After a few weeks putting these up on an auction listing, I was able to sell it off.  I do feel sentimental about it but felt that someone will have more use of these than me. If you're wondering how much I got for selling these.....I actually sold it for RM30....with free postage 😆😅

The same applied to the uncirculated coin set which was given to me as well. Unfortunately, I do not collect coins so I was glad that there's a buyer who collects these.

I have so much more to get rid of so I'll be updating more posts that are similar to these. Sometimes when I look back at all the things I bought....I wondered why did I get them in the first place? Was it due to impulse purchase? Or was it due to pressure to impress someone? Well...let just say that this year I had pretty much stopped buying things....unless it's things which are work-related or something that I really need...rather than want. Will write more in my next few posts.

Pancake & Coffee at Coffee Stain by Joseph @ Solaris Dutamas | Publika

There is nothing better than having a cup of coffee and dessert after a meal.  Buddy & I took a short walk after having our brunch at Pan & Tamper and headed to Coffee Stain.

There's a signboard featuring their Golden Boba pancake outside their cafe. Looks like Boba is in a trend nowadays.

Their breakfast on the menu looks good 😁

The picture looks pretty appetizing, don't they?

We came here for their dessert so it took a while for us to decide because there were so many choices (would like to order 2 but my friend was a bit full after our brunch)

As always, I must have daily dosage of coffee.

 Ordered their Latte Machiatto...

....while my friend has the Brown Sugar Cold Brew LatteI usually prefer hot coffee over cold drinks (not sure why). Tried a sip of her drink and it's so refreshing when drinking on a hot humid day. Regardless I still prefer my smooth and milky flavor of a latte.

The pancake on their menu looks tempting so we ordered a plate of Japanese Souffle Pancake to share, with an additional top-up of mix berries.

I missed the pancake I had in Japan so I tried shaking the pancake to see if it moves 😆

Although I shouldn't' compare to the one I had in Japan, this considered the next best thing 😁

I will be back again for their Big Breakfast as well as trying out their boba drinks in my next visit.

Brunch at Pan & Tamper @ Solaris Dutamas | Publika

It's a treat whenever I get to meet up buddy for brunch during the weekends. Buddy came over on a Saturday afternoon and picked me up from my place and head straight to 'Pan & Tamper' for brunch.

Simple, bright & cozy cafe interior design.

Pan & Tamper Menu below
(Click the picture for bigger image)

Organic Chamomile Tea & Latte for drinks.

Quinoa & Cauliflower Fried Rice for buddy....

...and Big Breakfast for myself.

In the end, buddy & I ended up ordering dishes that are familiar to us rather than trying a new dish. Guess nothing change for the 2 of us when we're together 😅

Check out Pan & Tamper at Publika.
