Chinese new year is just around the corner and Sakae Sushi is currently having 'Yee Sang' in conjunction to the upcoming festive season. A fan of Yee Sang, buddy and I head down to Sakae Sushi for dinner.
'Yee Sang' is available in 2 sizes.
We ordered the smaller plate (for 1-2 pax) to share.
I love exploring flea markets and I went on my first flea market way back in 2002 while in Sydney. My uncle took me on one of his trip there, and since then I was hooked! Wherever I take a trip to a foreign country, I will look it up on the internet to find if any flea market will be held on the date I travel.
In Malaysia there are only few places that cater for flea markets and the place that I often goes to is Amcomp Mall.
I went last weekend and realised that I have not step into this mall for more than a year. Most of the shops still there as how I remembered them.
Cup sleeves are perfect in helping to keep your hot drink warm but at the same time the cup holder allows you to be able to comfortably pick up your hot coffee or beverage without burning your hands. So what do you do with the cup sleeves when you order hot beverage at Starbucks?
Take for example such as @Sleevebucks, the Ubiquitous Starbucks mermaid had been transformed into a several well-known characters.
Last family trip we went to Japan for a holiday. It was a memorable trip for all of us and hopefully we will go back again. We went in the month of October (last year) and flew in via Thai Airway. We arrived at the New Chitose airport slightly after 9am. The place was pretty quiet and empty when walking towards the train station.
While in Tokyo I planned to shop at Akihabara but being unfamiliar with the subway route, I decided to go Nakano Broadway instead which was closer to my hotel from Ikebukuro.
My last trip to Sapporo we spent 4 nights in the Sapporo Grand Hotel and I highly recommend this hotel to other travelers going into Sapporo. While searching for hotels to stay, we booked quite late so Sapporo Grand Hotel was one of the few hotels near Sapporo Station that was still available.
Malaysian travellers can rejoice as the fee to make or renew their passport for five years is now RM200, down by RM100, effective Thursday.
The passport fee for senior citizens, children below 12, Haj pilgrims, and students below 21 and studying abroad is RM100.
Prior to this, senior citizens and students studying abroad paid RM150 for a five-year-passport. The disabled do not need to pay for a passport.
The notice of the latest directive was posted at Immigration offices on Thursday. With the reduction of the five-year passport fees, the two-year passport is not available anymore.

Thanks to my mum's friend I was able to spend a night at Marina Bay Sands Hotel...for free! I've been wanting to stay at this hotel because of the infinity pool so I was pretty excited staying a night here.
After check-in at the reception counter, we used the key card to access to the 17th floor.
Arriving on the 17th floor, it was a quiet sight walking to the room, which is a plus sign that you'll not be disturb at night.
Place your keycard to activate the light switch.
Spacious hallway with one side covered with mirror.
Our bed for the night. The bed is super comfy to lie on. Great for a good night rest. :)
Love the sofa chair where you can lay down to rest with a good book on hand.
Spacious desk, great for those who need to have their work done.
Everything you need in this wide closet space
The mini bar...which by the way is not free.
Only the water bottle on the desk is complimentary.
Designed with marble deco, large mirrors and a big bathtub, the bathroom look luxurious and spacious!
There's a separate glass door in the bathroom for toilet and shower.
Overlooking the city from the room, although some views were blocked from part of the building.
The view looks better at night.
The highlight of staying in this hotel is the free access to their infinity pool on the 57th floor. Access is free for 4 guests per room. You need to show your hotel key card to have access to the pool.
The pool is incredible beyond words. The view here looks stunning and you can see the whole city in front of you. The pool is everything I imagined it to be.
If you're wondering why the pool looks deserted, that's because the picture was taken wee hour in the morning before 7am. There're guests who woke up as early in the morning to swim, which by the way I find it to be quite chilly and cold. Night time it can get pretty crowded.
I woke up early hoping to see the sunrise but I woke up a little later than expected. Nevertheless, it was still an amazing view up here with the views of the cities, the ocean and the Gardens by the Bay.
Breakfast is available at the hotel lobby. Since our room do not come with breakfast you can have it somewhere nearby as you're bound to find one here.
For me it has been a spectacular and luxurious stay in this hotel. The infinity pool is incredible and I enjoyed every minute of my stay here. For more information of this hotel, do check out this linkfor more details.
I personally love anything that is sweet although I prefer coffee over desserts. The other day my friend suggested to have some dessert after dinner one night and decided to have it at Dip N Dip. Honestly I didn't know about this place until my friend suggested it. Dip N Dip have been around for some time now but I only found out about this place few days ago.
We ordered brownies crepe to share. This dish is made of brownie wrapped in a thin crepe covered with a triple threat of milk, dark and white chocolate. The chocolate smelled heavenly and tasted yummylicious.
I didn't take any pictures other than the one above. I may return to try out other desserts on their menu although some I find it a bit pricey. Any one tried their desserts at Dip N Dip? Any recommendation?

Our last day at Boracay was spent on travelling. Woke up early to check out the hotel and have our breakfast before the logistic team arrived at 9.30am. Our flight was 3.05pm from Kalibo airport but requested to leave early (originally at 10.30am). Our journey to the Kalibo airport took more than 3 hours. You can read my review on the logistic team for our airport transfer here.
We arrived early around 1pm and passengers were lining up at the airport entrance.
Kalibo airport is quite small so you can pretty much see the whole airport. Since we were early and have time to spare, we decided to survey outside of the airport after check in the luggage. Do note that queues can get pretty crazy so it's advisable to arrive early.
Remember to put aside Php500 to pay the International Passenger Terminal Fee in the airport (Php500).
Get your last minute shopping for souvenir or snacks at the stalls outside the airport.
Went to one of the eateries nearby for lunch. The food was simple but tasty, and there's free wifi to connect with our family back home before our flights.
The place was pretty quiet so we have the whole place pretty much to ourselves.
We only went in half an hour before boarding time. The waiting area in the airport is small and most of the passenger were standing while waiting to board the plane.
That's pretty much sum up our whole trip. The first and last day was pretty much spent on travelling back and forth between airport and hotel and we only have three full days to enjoy the island.
I will end this post with the article below on Boracay Bliss.
