Travel Blog @ Day 1 - Arrival in London & Our Stay in Novotel London Heathrow Airport

On our arrival in London, it was past 4.30pm. Once we claimed our baggage and past through the immigration, we took a cab and go straight to Novotel London Heathrow AirportWe only stayed one night in this hotel. The main reason for choosing this hotel was the fact that it was closer to the airport and EUROPCAR to collect our rented car the next morning....and not forgetting cheaper as compared to  other hotels nearby (£136.75). However, taking a cab to the hotel costs £15 although it was only a short distance from the airport. >.<

Attractive atrium style lobby with bar when you walked in.

Check in was a little slow since there were a number of people checking in and there were only 2 staffs attending the customers. When we finally gotten our key to the room, we were all exhausted and decided to stay put in the hotel room to rest. Afterall, there was no where to go since the hotel was located in a quiet area near the Heathrow Airport.

We had virtually no remaining floor space when sofa bed folded out.
The bed was comfortable but not the sofa bed. >.<

The table was full of our stuff as the space is much smaller than we expected.

The toilet is really small and it's separate from the bathroom. We find it kinder strange that the audio from the television is in the bathroom. My dad had to turn the volume louder when Me or my Mum is in the bathroom with the door closed. Pity those who are in the toilet with the loud volume turned on.

We ate at the restaurant for dinner and the food was good and serving size was huge...
although it was a bit pricey to dine in the hotel.

After our hearty meal, we went back to the room and call it for a day. We didn't check any of the facility in the hotel since we were quite content staying in the room.

That's the end of day 1 for us. Click here to read my blog on Day 2. Or read my last post on my flight from Kuala Lumpur to London.

Top 20 Factory Tours in Japan

There’s nothing worse that getting stuck on a guided tour going through room upon room of humdrum displays while a sleepy-eyed guide rambles on about nothing important. To save us all from making the mistake of going on a boring tour, Trip Advisor Japan compiled a list of the best factory tours in the country. Results are ranked according to the most talked about museums and factories on their website. As you might expect, over half of the best tours involve alcohol.

Malaysia Airlines Business Class A380 flight: Kuala Lumpur to Heathrow, London

My first trip to London via Business Class. This is perhaps the only time I look forward going to the airport early and to enjoy the facility at the Golden Lounge in KLIA. Had my breakfast here before boarding. ^^

Business Class ticket ^^

Our seat was at the upper deck and took an escalator to the waiting area before boarding.
Spacious waiting area and there is an Internet Kiosk at the corner.

Time to board the plane for our 13 hours journey flight.

Once on board we were directed to our seats and were offered drinks.

We were offered a hot towel after our drinks.
Here I'm checking out their Business Menu.

I definitely love the luxuries of full-service like more leg room, snacks, and in-flight entertainment.

Checking out the storage compartment.

My first ever amenity kit on flight. The amenity kit contained a toothbrush and toothpaste, mouthwash, a comb, eye shades, socks, and creams from Clarins.

Business class lavatory.
Much spacious than expected.

Juice and Cashew nuts were served once the plane took off.

I snuggled to the warm blanket and watch the movie from the entertainment selection.

My only complaint about the entertainment selection has to be the ads that kept playing before each program...and I mean 'every' show! Imagine you have to watch the ad over and over again on every show in your 13 hours whole journey. >.<

Going through the flight menu.

Drinks list.

2 hours after the take-off, Chicken and Beef Satay were served.....

and Creamy Hot Flake Salmon cake and Smoke Salmon as starter.
Honestly, it was quite feeling for starter such as these.

Next came the main course: Baked fillet of COD.
Served with pesto fettuccine, asparagus, sundried tomato.

To finish, Pistachio Franzipan Tart and.....

  Ice-Cream for desserts.

Hot towers, bottled water and and fast track immigration cards were given after the meal.

You can order from the snack menu when you're hungry or craving for a snack.
Ordered a bowl of Noodles and it was quite delicious.

Before the arrival, light meals were served.
Grilled Jumbo Prawns in Lemongrass skewer.

Followed by Chicken Roulade with Red and Green Capsicum.
Honestly, it wasn't a light meal...it's a hearty and delicious meal indeed.

Finally....after 13 hours you can see the view outside when descent.

You can watch the tail camera when landing.

Overall, the journey have been smooth and relaxing. The business class seats were spacious and comfortable for sleeping, although I managed to sleep for 2 to 3 hours.
To be continued with my trip in London. ^^
