Datin Seri Rosmah’s son paid millions for a Penthouse in New York

It seems our prime minister's wife, Datin Seri Rosmah Mansor, is in the limelight.... again. It's a never ending story. If you have not read what is the hoo haa this time, you can read the post here.

Makes you wonder where the money comes from....at the age of 36???  Did he save when he was a kid...like his mother who claimed that she started saving since she was a child, which she was able to afford her bling-bling? If you do not know the story of Rosman's and her RM24 million diamond ring, you can read the story here

Honestly, with that kind of money, it sure helps a lot of people who are in need. Prices are increasing and everyone is tight with their money.....but yet.... a RM110 million on a penthouse in New York? Seriously?!?!?!?

Thought of sharing my stay in Conrad Centennial Singapore.
Although stayed for one night, I wished it can be more than few nights.

Conrad Centennial Singapore located across from Suntec Singapore, Convention and Exhibition Centre.
Check-in the hotel was easy and brief.
You'll need the hotel card to have access to your room.

Missing My Pup

Long ago I adopted a pup, which I named her Trixie.
Back then we did not know of what breed she is.
It was only when we have gotten her only then we realized that she is actually a 'Jack Russell'.
Nevertheless, she was super cute and super hyper dog. LOL
Look at her innocent and sweet face.

Sadly, I couldn't keep her due to my job when I was away most of the time.
Mum didn't have the time to play or take care of her.

It wasn't fair for her to be locked up and not getting the full attention she needs.
In the end, after having her 2 years in my life, she was finally adopted by my relatives who have 3 kids of their own.
They love her to pieces and she have her own garden to run around.

That was 6 - 7 years ago. I still think of her and wondered how is she.
My relative migrated to Australia and she had since adopted by another family who love dogs.
So guys, do think carefully before you get yourself a pet.
They need your full time attention and it is a full time job to care for them.
Never get them in impulse.

Pre-Christmas & Gathering :)

It was a raining day when I arrived at my friend's place.
We were getting together at a Vivian's house which is in Puchong.
Most of us do not know the way to Vivian's place so we met up at Miss L place around 6pm.
Decided to carpool so four of us gals sat in my car, but Miss L drove the car since it was raining.
I hate driving in the rain...and worst when I'm not sure of the way.
Big thanks to Miss L for driving my car....our personal driver. LOL

Skinny Pizza @ Wheelock Place at Orchard

Skinny pizza serves thin crust pizzas with loads of toppings on it. Thanks to my friend, I get to know about this place which is located on the 3rd floor at Wheelock place.

Love the environment there...very cozy.

We ordered one pizza and 3 side orders.

Ordered my latte (keeps me perk up for the day) while waiting for our meals to be served.

Finally, our order is served.
Love this pizza with eggs, bacon, tomato and cheese.
Very sinful but loving every bite.

Next came Mashed potato....which is smooth and creamy.
The corn is nothing to shout about.

The sweet potato is delicious!!!
You have to try this out to believe it.

Overall it is a nice place to chill out with your friends. And the food we ordered are quite filling and sinful. But we manage to finish it up. (2 big eater we are). Its best to go in a big group so that you can order more variety.

My Review on Lennox Firm Up Plus Collagen Drink (Or Any Other Collagen Drink)

I have a hard time reviewing this and for a while I wondered whether I should write this review. After a while, I thought what the heck, I will give my most honest opinion and my thought of this drink...and any other collagen drink in the market. Before I begin, thought of making some comparison of the older version and the newer version on both Lennox Firm Up & Lennox Firm up PLUS Collagen Drink. Note that the new version comes with sachet packet. I find that the taste is much better as compared to the older version, taste sweeter actually. #grin (I love everything that is sweet)

Attached the following pictures to show you the difference between the older and the newer version of Lennox Collagen Drink.

I find that the older version of the colour is brownish in colour, while the newer version is more reddish in colour.

Celebrating Mum's Birthday at The Ming Room Restraurant @ Bangsar Shopping Centre

December 1st is my mummy's birthday. As always, this year we celebrated  her birthday at the Ming's Room @ Bangsar with family. :)

Love the Christmas decoration in Bangsar. Their decoration is "Super HUGE' and look so realistic. *Big Lobster...LOL*

On weekends the restaurant is usually packed during dinner time. Fortunately we booked the place 2 days in advance as the place can be packed.

Quiting My Job

Sometimes, I asked myself, why am I doing things that I dislike (or hate)? It could be anything, it could be your studies, your work or perhaps your life? Do we follow the path that everyone is destined to do so, or due to other people's expectation or your parent's wishes? Such as working in a prestige company (working more than 12 hours), getting married, having kids and etc. Okay, maybe getting married and having kids is totally way out of the topic...but seriously, was I happy following this path?

When some asked what do I do for a living and when I told them what I do, they will look at me and think "What?!?! You wasted so many years to study and end up working at home and selling things online???" when you can actually do all these after high school, without going to college and etc.

Don't get me wrong, I'm thankful that I was given the opportunity to attend College/University while going this path. I'm forever grateful to have a wonderful parent who supported me with the decision I make, despite having all my college/ university qualification being put away. Somehow, gaining a certificate or a qualification is not a total loss, after all, I may need it in the future in the event that I need to return back to the working sector.

Interestingly, I have people asking me, how did I start selling things online? I guess it all started when I was studying in college. I find myself having loads of junks laying around and I find it's kinder wasteful to throw it away, and defiantly not recommended to give to people which it's used. So on my spare time, I took some of  the things that I do not need and posted online to sell (via Ebay). That was way back in 2003 when I was in Australia when I first began my online selling...which started out innocently as an interest.

Uncle's Big 80th Birthday Bash

A while back it was my uncle's big 80th birthday.
He invited all his families and friends to attend his birthday bash.
Dig up my old clothes which I wore when I was working previously.
Thankfully I still can wear them. >.<

Arrived around 7.30pm since we got lost on the way. @.@
Kinder difficult finding this place.

We were given a color card, which is our main course for the night.
Need to be place on our table once seated.

Freebies: Electronic Portable Scale & Korjo TSA Card Lock

Got a package a while back. I wasn't expecting a package nor did I order anything so when I received this package, I was quite puzzled. I thought it may be a bomb or something since the package labelled "Fragile".

After opening up and reading the letter, only then it dawn on me that I have participated one of the campaign earlier and I was one of the lucky few who got rewarded. If you're not aware, you need to send an SMS to be eligible to participate this type of contest (which you can find at the last page of your credit card statement or via SMS sent by Citibank). I have forgotten about it since I wasn't expecting to win anything (nor do I know what is the prizes).

I must say I was really surprised once I opened the package to find not only one but TWO gifts in it...which is really useful and great for travelling in the future. And best of all, I was planning to buy the portable scale since I may need it for travelling....what a great timing :)

Bali Trip: Our Stay in 101 Legian Bali Hotel

It was my friend who found this deal from Groupon. To be honest, I was quite skeptical when there is such hotel deals cause most of the time, I have heard stories that such package usually end up not what it's expected. However, after doing our own research and reading reviews on this hotel, the gals went ahead and bought this voucher from Groupon.

We bought 3 vouchers (3 rooms) for 6 gals, and we took the 4 nights package (5D4N stay for 2 for RM758 [RM3,416 published rack rate]).  It cost each gal approximately RM379 each while the actual value could have cost us RM570 for 4 nights. And best of all, this package comes with the following deals (Not bad for the price we were given):

Bali Trip Day 1 @ First Day Arrival

Finally, after months (or years), the day have finally come! I was super excited cause it's been a while since my last trip with the gals. As far as I know, this is by far the most relaxing trip we have ever been.

The gals arrived around 4.30pm at LCCT airport and we checked in at the counter together (there were 6 of us). The plane took off after 6pm and we arrived in Denpasar Airport approximately 9.30pm. What greeted us as soon as we exited from the plane were long queue of people. Every one was lining up for the Immigration Clearance, and the gals and I were like 'What The Hell"! Anyway, to keep it short, it took us an hour before we were able to collect our luggage (T.T)

Our appointed driver/tour guide (Dedy) for the whole trip waited more than an hour for our arrival, and he told us it's a norm for the long wait. He even pointed out that the airport we arrived was newly opened (only 2 to 3 days). That would explain how new and clean the facility was when we arrived.

By the time we left the airport, it was close to 10.45pm. On the way to the hotel, we bought food back to the hotel since we were all hungry. It was close to 11.30pm when we checked into our Hotel at Tune Hotel @ Double Six Legian. For your info, staying in Tune Hotel in Legian is way much cheaper as compared to Kuta. Only booked a night at this hotel since we will be checking into another hotel the next day. So this hotel is just fine for sleeping for one night (no frills).

Didn't take much photo on the first day so you can check out the video shown at the bottom for more details. :)

Check out my Bali Trip on Day 2 here.

Coming Soon: Bali Trip

Just came back from my recent Bali trip. It was by far the most relaxing and stress-free trip I've ever been since my few trips with the gals. Will blog more about it in my next blog :)

Cuteness Overload - Hamster

I've been passing this pet store for few months and every time I do so, I will stopped by and just look at all the hamster that are displayed in front of the shop.  Aren't they just adorable!!!!

Knowing that I do not have the time to care for them, its best not get them until I'm sure that I ready to commit  and the time to care for them. And hopefully my mum will not freak out when she sees them. LOL.

Mini Revamp with Ikea Expedit Shelving (Finally)

Personally, I've always love Ikea furniture. Not only their pricing is reasonable but they are stylish as well. Finally, after more than 4 years moving into my new place, I've finally gotten myself an Ikea Expedit Shelving. I find this shelving to be  practical...and it was high time I have some of my small cabinets replace which by the way it had been with me since I was still schooling in high school @.@

As you can see from the before picture...it was a mess...and cluttered. I'm amazed that I've not change it sooner...but then again I was still in Singapore quite a while back...thinking that I would be staying back Singapore..oh well...that will be another story. =p

On-Going: Clearing and removing my stuff away.

New Cabinet replaced. ^^

Finally....it's all done! Doesn't this look much neater and organised. There are boxes and baskets to choose from IKEA to suit your decor...but for now I'll let it be. I just love how this turn out...and I'm loving it!

If you're a big fan of Ikea, you should check out this website: Ikea Hackers. This website will show how some of the IKEA product goes through transformation...or in away modification. Defiantly worth visiting for those who would like to revamp some of their furniture with no or minimum cost, rather than buying a new furniture which cost loads of moo-la!

Price Revised for International Shipment from Yours Truly....POS MALAYSIA

Sellers who run an online business or ship parcels internationally will be shock when they visit their local post office (POS Malaysia) and was informed that the revised rates for International Shipment increased drastically with affect of 15th May (Wednesday).  And what worst, it is a flat rate system for international postage rate!

Just to give you an idea how much POS Malaysia have REVISED the rates, check out the following booklet that was given to us (=___=)

Imagine sending a small parcel weighing less than 150 grams and was told by the staff that it now cost RM60 (previously it only cost less than RM20). Imagine my stunned expression on my face when the staff informed me of the revised rate....I was like..."WHAT THE HELL"!!!! And mind you, I have yet to include the Registered mail tracking, which by the way it had increased from RM4.10 to RM4.60 for the international registered labels. (=.=)"""

Before You Travel: Things To Do & Bring To Korea

1. Research, Research & More Research

For those who is planning to travel to Korea, make sure you do loads of homework (research) before travelling. Trust me, it's loads of work but it will make your trip easier and smoothly. Most of the information I've obtained can easily be accessed via online and friend's recommendation whom had been to Korea. You just need to spare some time to do your homework.

2, Booked Your Stay in Advance

If you have booked your air-ticket way earlier, please booked the hostel/guesthouse way advance. Some of the guesthouse which is reputable will be fully booked (even though I wanted to booked few of hostel recommended by friends 2 to 3 months earlier before the trip). Some booking only required you to put down a small percentage of deposit (or no deposit at all), such as www.booking.com. I find this website useful and you can compare prices with other guesthouse. If you ever decide to cancel your stay, just make sure you cancelled it within a period of time (1 or 2 weeks before) and there will be no charges. ^^

3. Print Out Addresses or Places in KOREAN

As most Korean do not speak English, it's important to print out addresses in 'KOREAN' because most local taxi driver do not understand English, which we have come to known. Thankfully, most of the time we traveled via subway so we do not have any issue, except when we were in Jeju Island. If you ever stay in a guesthouse, always bring the name card of the guesthouse you stayed because it will become handy when you need to take a cab back.

4. International Adapter

If you have a smartphone/camera which required charging, remember to bring your international adapter. I've forgotten to bring mine but fortunately for me, two of the guesthouse we stayed provided us an adapted during our stay (free of charge). It's really handy to bring it with you so that you do not need to share it with others, as what we have experienced for our first night in Korea. Imagine four gals wanting to charge their handphone and camera battery at the same time. (0.o)

5. Medication/Supplement

Lastly, the most important things to bring in this trip is non other than your medication and supplements. Trust me, you'll need it because you'll never know you may catch a flu (which I really hate when I'm travelling).  Getting sick oversea is an expensive affair. Fortunately for us, all of us bought our own medication because all of us have gotten sick this trip (including myself) as the weather was a bit too cold for us (although it was spring). I guess partly it was due to our excessive walking and lack of sleep, which we have accumulated  during this trip (T.T)

I think that's pretty much sum it up. It seems I am sounding more like my mum =p Do look out for my update on my Korea Trip. I still have loads of photo to edit before I put it up.

Travel Blog: Korea Here We Come

In few days I'll be off to Korea. It's a trip that I have been looking forward to since my last trip with the gals (September 2012). Sadly, this round there will only be 4 gals, instead of our usual gang.

Nevertheless, I'm really excited and looking forward to this trip because there's a chance that we may get the chance to see cherry blossom!!! #Dancing to Paru Paru Sakura#

As always, all bookings including air-tickets to Jeju Island, accommodation and itinerary were all taken care by me #Proud of myself & patting my back#

Hopefully the gals will approve with all the itinerary planned for this trip cause it took up a lot of my time to do all these research. It seems lately that all holidays trips are all planned by me...wished my friends would give some suggestion or help out with the itinerary #Hinting#. Looking at it....I think I should charge them commission #evil grin#.

Anyway, as you can see, I'm all packed and ready for my vacation. Looking at all my bags, one would think that I just came back from my trip!

The most important things to bring in this trip are: good old camera, tripod, passport, credit cards, cash (loads of them) and "can't live without" Iphone. (^__^) Actually, there is more to that but I'm just naming a few here (Do not forget medication, umbrella, raincoat, sunglasses, chargers and etc).

By the way, I'm a millionaire overnight!!! Actually....one million won is more like it. Oh well, one can only day dream right? #Shiok Sendiri#

What I'm really looking forward to this trip is non-stop shopping, eating, sightseeing, shopping and more eating. Hmm....hopefully I'll be able shed some weight since we'll be walking a lot in this trip. Btw....did I mentioned that shopping in Korea opens till 5am?!? @_@

Anyway, do look out for my update after my Korea trip. #CountingDown#
