Brunch At Flingstones Cafe @ SS15 Subang Jaya

Its been years since my last visits to SS15 and so much have changed since graduated from Taylors. Ahh...the good old days. Back then there were no cafe and mostly hawker stall or fast food chain such as McD. Nowadays one can easily find a number of cafes by just driving around this area.

My visits here is actually the cafe that is opposite of Taylors college - Flingstones cafe

Love the flooring tiles at the entrance.

Pleasant ambience inside the cafe.

Renew Malaysian Passport in 2 Hours

I've been putting off to to renew my passport for a while now but with the holiday trip just around the corner, I know I can't afford to delay it any longer.

Woke up early today (super early) and went to the Immigration Office in Sri-Hartamas to renew my passport. Plenty of parking space and no problem finding a good parking spot if you're early.

The place was pretty quiet when I stepped into the building by 7.15am.

Took the escalator up to the first floor and you'll spot people queuing. The queue wasn't long (thankfully) and waited for 15 minutes (exactly 7.30am) before the door opened and walked in to get our numbers. Remember to get your passport and your identity card ready as they will need to check it before issuing the numbers to you.

You can get your number faster on another counter if you're above 60 years of age, pregnant, with child under the age of 2 years or people with disabilities.

Glad to know that there's plenty of counters here for submission, collection, information and payment, which makes up for less waiting time.

I waited around 20 minutes before my number was called.  Passport sized photographs are no longer required since photo will be taken on the spot digitally. After having my photo taken and my thumbprint scanned, I was told to wait for my number (the same number you were given) to make payment at the payment counter.

After paying RM200 for 5 years renewal, your identity card will be return back to you with payment receipt and number. You'll need these for collection later.

Was told to come back in one hour so ended up having breakfast at food court.

Since there were still time, I went to Gloria Jean's Coffee for a cup of latte.
Glad to know there's free WiFi here and I stayed here until the time is up.

More people walked in to get their queue numbers after receiving my passport by 9am.  I was pretty happy that I was able to to finish in less than 2 hours since my last few experiences were not too great (back then I renewed my passport in Subang).

And if you're wondering, the office in Sri-Hartamas only open on weekdays and closed on weekends. My advice is to go early before they open so you can have your passport renew in 2 hours. Avoid going during school holidays and peak season.

Hope this post help to renew your passport without any hick ups. :)

Solo Travel In Tokyo Day 3 - Tokyo Gotokuji Temple & Shibuya

Continue Day 3 in Tokyo. Woke up early to start my journey cause the next destination that I'm going is quite far from Asakusa.

One good thing about starting my journey early is that the crowds are lesser and most shops are still closed. I took my time to explore while walking towards to the train station (Ginza line).  I prefer walking the back lane behind the shops where there's smaller shops tuck away from view.

Looks like there's a school trip for the students. Such an orderly manner.

Sweet Petite Dessert at "Xiao By Crustz" @ Happy Mansion, PJ Section 17

Last weekend we went to try out a new place @ Xiao by Crustz at Happy Mansion neighbourhood.  I'm glad I came here with my friend for our afternoon tea.

Although the cafe is small but its cozy. Seats are limited and you might need to wait for your turn. The seats near the window only caters for 2 people while the bigger table near the counter are limited too. If you have more than 4 people, you may have to come early. We came when the shop opened and 15 minutes later the place was packed. Fortunately we came early to secure a nice seat near the counter.

Cute Totoro on counter.

Desserts on counter, as well as homemade jam.
Everything look so artistic and colourful on display.

MM Cafe @ Happy Mansion, PJ Section 17

It's been a while since my last visits to MM cafe.  Have been coming to Section 17 a lot for coffee and this round we decided to drop by at MM cafe for lunch.

As always, I need my coffee dose...regardless what time of the day - Latte!

Kam Heong Loh Shu Fun for buddy.
Took a small bite from this dish...still taste pretty good ^^

I on the other hand was craving for something curry....and ordered a plate of Kampung Curry Chicken. Buddy tried the gravy but didn't like it cause not a fan of indian curry. I actually like the gravy....but its up to an individual preference. However I didn't fancy the sambal though.

All in all, MM cafe is a perfect hangout place with decent food at a slightly decent premium price.

Birthday Post: Aunt's 86th Birthday Celebration at Hokano

A while back we celebrated my aunt's birthday. This year she requested to have her birthday at Hokano, a place we often visits for family get together. I've often blog about this restaurant and it's still the best place to dine for Japanese food.

Check out the huge birthday cake my aunt received for this year.
I was told that this cake weighs 5KG.
By just looking at the picture I thought it weighs more than that!
