Coffea Coffee @ Telawi Bangsar, Kuala Lumpur

After a late brunch with my buddy at Palazzo Viva, we headed to Coffea Coffee next door for a cup of coffee.

I need my coffee to start my day and since I didn't have any earlier I thought we will check out the coffee shop next door.

It was half empty when we drop by but the place was packed in no time.

Buddy didn't want any drink so I ended up having a cup of latte.
I usually prefer latte or coffee with sugar and milk.
*Not a fan of bitter coffee.

Ordered a slice of cake to share, which turn out to be a disappointment.
Didn't note down the name but we can say that this is one cake you can give it a miss.

We didn't stay long and left the cafe shortly.
Not a fan of the buzz and noises so it's best to come before the crowds kick in.

Big Breakfast / Brunch at Palazzo Viva @ Telawi, Bangsar

I hesitate going to Bangsar for breakfast/brunch whenever I meet up with my buddy. I find that parking and traffic can be a hassle, regardless on weekdays or weekends.  However, buddy & I decided to head down to Bangsar one weekend for brunch. Fortunately we were lucky (really lucky) when we managed to find a parking before heading over to Palazzo Viva

We were pretty impressed with the place when we walked into the cafe.

The Benefits Of Coconut Oil

I've heard and read that there's benefit of consuming coconut oil. However, I was reluctant to try them because the thought of drinking 'oil' means extra 'fat' and 'oil' to my body. I mean when you think about it, the one thing you need is to add more oil (or fats) to your body.

My good friend gave me a bottle of coconut oil to try. She was telling me how consuming coconut oil had helped her and her family. Since it was a gift from my friend I guess there's no harm trying. The main reason  I decided to give it a try cause it's suppose to help with weight loss. *Yup, I'm in the midst of dieting although most time I gave in to temptation*

Below is the list of benefits of coconut oil which I found on the net.
*Credit belongs to the rightful owner*

Anyway, my friend advised me to consume one spoonful a day; preferable in the morning on an empty stomach.

I was expecting the worst when I took it the first time...but surprisingly it wasn't that bad sine I found the flavour and the texture were pretty mild.

I applied coconut oil on my hair as well. Apparently coconut oil helps to reduce hair loss and increase hair growth. I'm only in my early 30's but am already experiencing hair loss. I can't imagine being bald when I'm in my 40's >.<

So far I've only used it once a week on my scalp and leave it on at least few hours before washing (massage the scalp for 5 minutes and leave it on at least 2 hours or more). My hair tend to be frizzy after washing but after applying it my hair turn out smoother. However it only last for a day before it become frizzy again after my next wash.

So far I've only been consuming it for less than a month so I can't say there's any significant changes. I've only applied 3 times on my scalp and I can't say there's any improvement...yet. However I did see some improvement on my complexion and I have less breakout on my face. I'm prone of breakout when it's that time of the month and so far I've not seen much of it since consuming.

Will I continue after finishing this bottle? The answer is yes. After reading all the benefits of coconut oil, I will continue consuming for the next few months. Will post another update in my later post. :)

Nana's Green Tea @ One Utama Shopping Centre

A while back I met up with an old friend in One Utama and decided to have our lunch at Nana's Green Tea Cafe since both of us have yet to try out this place.

My friend and I didn't waste any time going through their menu as soon as we were seated.
We ordered their lunch set from their set lunch menu since the set comes with free drink.

Tonkatsu by Ma Maison @ Publika, Kuala Lumpur

I often passed by this restaurant when coming up from the escalator. I've been wanting to dine here since the restaurant opened but my parent do not fancy anything fried so we usually give this place a miss. One day I decided to dine here on my own since I was doing my errands at Publika.

After ordering my set, the staff came over with roasted barley tea and radish.

An abundance of sauce and seasoning for you to choose from.

I ordered Curry Katsu Set since I was craving for something curry. I personally like the cutlet since it was not overly greasy nor oily. In addition, all set menu comes with refillable tea, miso soup, pickles and shredded cabbage.

Overall I have a full and satisfying meal here. :)

Brunch At 'Metal Box' Restaurant and Cafe @ Empire Damansara

Often buddy & I tried to figure out where to have our brunch whenever we meet up during the weekends. It seems that most of my blog post are all related to all day western-style  breakfast. So eventually we decided to head down to Metal Box @ Empire Damansara for their all day breakfast.

Buddy & I usually have the same mind set and order the same thing but buddy always end up order different dishes since I don't budge once I know what I wanted. LOL. One glance at their menu I pretty much know what I wanted. ^^

As always, we need our caffein to start our day.
Piccolo Latte & Cafe Latte.

Buddy have 'The Red Benedict' - 2 poached eggs on croissant with mushrooms, edamame, turkey ham top with their homemade hollandaise sauce & red wine glaze.

I have 'The Metal Breakfast', which is pretty much sums up as Big Breakfast.
Just your average big breakfast.

Overall, it was quite a nice environment to have our brunch here although it can be overly crowded and noisy during the weekends.

Buffet at Lemon Garden Cafe @ Shangri-La Hotel, Kuala Lumpur

Honestly I'm not really a fan of buffet. When I was much younger I love it but as the years goes by I just stopped going. Reason? Good buffet do not come cheap and often I tend to overeat...which is a no-no for my waistline. And often l always ended up not feeling well the rest of the day due to overindulged.

Anyhow...buddy got a free buffet voucher to dine at Lemon Garden Cafe. Since buddy only have one free voucher so we shared the cost for the second person.

The place was packed and I was surprise with the wide variety of choices from oriental to international.  I didn't take a lot of pictures while I was there since I was feeling unwell on that day. Yup...what a bummer right? So eventually I didn't eat much at all. However I make sure I choose the most expensive food I can think off. And yes, I love oyster, sushi and sashimi...they were super fresh and sweet!

I tried other food but like I said, I wasn't in the mood for picture taking. But I did took a picture of the dessert below (ya...kinder pathetic for 2 food pictures).  However, you can check out more pictures and reviews here from tripadvisor.

Overall, Buddy & I spent hours here and just chatting away.  Buddy ate quite a lot while we were there, which means the food is pretty good cause buddy can be a bit choosy when it comes to food. Although prices is a bit high but it's defiantly worth going especially with the wide selections of food they have here. Remember to go in with an empty stomach.^^

Most Expensive Fruits Ever!!!!

The other day I was at the supermarket and found these grapes at the fruits display.
Initially I thought  it was RM24.50 but after checking it closely I realise it was RM245!!!!
I've heard that Japanese fruits are expensive but RM245 for a small box of grapes?!?
Wow, with these money I can actually buy a week's worth of grocery for these.

Seven Cups @ Empire Damansara

It was one of those days when Buddy & I need an ice-cold refreshment to cool down on a super duper hot day. That's when we dropped by at Seven Cups

The interior space isn't large and the design is rather minimalistic but well designed.

Love the blue colored painted wall and cute girl poster.

Seven Cups is a self service cafe so stop over at their counter to place your order.

We have 3 scoops of ice-cream to share.
It was such a cool refreshment having ice-creams on a hot day.

I don't mind revisiting this cafe for a cup of coffee. Didn't have any while we were there since we have coffee earlier. Worth checking out for any coffee and dessert lover. ^^
