Farewell Gift - Singapore Snowglobe

A dear friend of mine gave this to me as a farewell gift. It was such a lovely gesture because initially we were suppose to be getting this together. When I wanted to pay her back she said it was a gift from her since I'm heading back to my country for good.

Thanks to her, it seems I will be collecting snowglobe for my future travel ^^  (not sure its a good thing or a bad thing). I always love snowglobe but the smaller one I felt it was too small, and the big one is too big =p  What do you think? Are you a snowglobe collecter???

Fong Lye Taiwan Restaurant 蓬莱茶房 @ The Garden, Mid Valley

Bro came back from down under (OZ) and was back here for business. Manage to booked him for lunch on Tuesday before he returns to OZ (T.T).  Mum decided to take us to Fong Lye Taiwan Restaurant located at The Garden for brunch since it was still early (11:30am). This place is always packed during lunch and dinner time...so go early if you want to avoid the crowds.
Ordered our drinks (Ice Honey Lemon) and an appetizer, Sweet Potato.

Mum ordered her all time fav....Tomato Fish with Egg set
It's my fav too, but decided to try other dishes instead....wrong move.....>.<

I ordered Udon Beef set.....it was okay I guess.
I though it was fried udon...my bad....it was more like dried udon with beef.

Can't remember what my bro ordered but I know it was not enough for him. =p

Aunt Val ordered steam fish set. Wise and healthy choice.
Looks good and aunt said it was nice. May order this in my next visit.....maybe.

Our meals are served....attack!!!!!

Bro was not satisfied and wanted to order desserts....and he ordered this gigantic ice kacang! See the comparison of my hand (=.=)"

Bro looks so happy posing with his 'ice-kacang' aka snow ice. LOL. It was quite a big portion and only both of us were eating it. I ate a few small bites cause I'm not really into this....except for the ice-cream part.

Big thanks to Big bro for this lovely treat. Hope to see you soon....or better still...to visit you in Melbourn and have free lodging at your place ^^  All the best and safe journey back to your new home. Miss ya all.

One Night Luxury Stay at Hilton Kuala Lumpur Hotel

My dad received a complimentary 1 night stay at KL Hilton. Mum and I were excited and thought what better way to spend a night at KL Hilton during the weekends. Weeeeeeee.....thought of sharing these pictures in the hotel room we stayed....complimentary from Hilton. *Excited*

Queen Size Bed.

The bathroom is huge! I can spend hours in here! *Complaint from my parent ^^*

 Toiletries provided....nice =)

For privacy, you can close the door which separates the bathroom and the bedroom. Would love to have this bathtub in my bathroom.....*dreaming*

Loads of snack but too bad they are not complimentary.
Can get it cheaper from the supermarket instead.

Love siting on this coach while reading novel.

There is nothing to shout about on the view from our room since the front of the building was undergoing construction (>.<)"  However, at night it's a different view when the building lights lit up.

Overall verdict, love the room which is comfy, huge and plus. Hilton KL is a great location to stay as KL Sentral Station is just across the road.  For travellers who needs to travel to KL International Airport, you can take the KLIA Ekspress train from there.

Parking in this hotel is RM10 for overnight chargers. No complimentary parking or breakfast provided during our stay. It was okay for us since food can easily be at KL Sentral Station, such as Mcds, Starbucks, food court and etc. Don’t pay the ridiculous rates for the in-room internet though: there is free wi-fi in the hotel lobby.

Sweet Desserts at Baskin Robbins @ Serangoon NEX

I love ice-cream and most of the time I will order the same old boring flavour....Vanilla. As usual, after a meal, we will hunt for dessert and this time we decided to drop by at Baskin Robbins for ice-cream. ^^

Ice-Cream Flavor Menu

Deciding what to order....so many choices.
Namdan & Tracy at the counter for some sweet taste testing.

Ice-Cream Cake *Finger cross for this year birthday cake* ^^

All the different flavour, I still like mine the best....although it might be kinder sweet for some.
But it's okay if you can indulge once in a while...agreed? ^^

Double Birthday Celebration at Jaya Palace Restaurant 皇宮海鮮酒家 @ Wisma LYL, Petaling Jaya

March is the birthday month for my dear daddy and cousin.
We all went to Jaya Palace Restaurant for dinner to celebrate their birthday.
My all time fav Restaurant. ^^

Entrance of the Restaurant

Inside of the Restaurant

Table for 12 pax.

Palace Group Menu. Mum chose their nice course meal set, to save the headache to decide what to order.

1st course to be served: Palace Four Season Combination.
Great combination and love all the variety on this dish.

2nd course - Old cucumber soup.
It wasn't part of the set as the original dish was Shark Fin soup.
Mum and cousin felt that it was better to change the soup (Good choice).
The soup was okay, but felt it can be better.

3rd course - Hong Kong Pigeon In Two Styles.
The drumstick and the wings were real tiny and it was kinder dry, possible due to the size. However, the rest of the meat that was cooked and served were tender. Delicious!

4th Course - Braised Fried Fish Maw with Prawn Balls.
Healthy Choice. and surprisingly it taste great!

5th Course -Braised Stuffed Dried Scallop & Sea Cucumber.
By the time this dish was served I was already full...and there were more to come.....

6th Course - Steamed Sliced Fish with Mui Choy.
Love the Mui Choy on this dish as it was sweet. Quite a lot of bones for this dish.

7th Course - Roasted Pork 'E-Fu' Noodle.
Love this dish, roasted pork was delicious and tender.

After the 7th course, we surprised the birthday boy and girl with homemade cupcake (not the usual cake we usually buy from cake shop). Thanks to Nancy's sister who baked this lovely cupcake (and my lovely two nieces who requested their aunt to made this).

Birthday Cupcake made with love. We all just adored this and it was yummy!!!

Birthday boy & girl with my two adorable nieces.

After the birthday song and candles blowing, we were served with the following desserts...not one but two!

 Special Fancy Pastries.

Longan Pudding with Almond and the birthday cupcake (^0^)

Overall, Jaya Palace serves the best dishes (although a bit pricey). We will certainly be back for more.... actually in two weeks time to celebrate my Uncle and Aunt's 50th wedding anniversary (Counting down ^^).

Dessert Time at J.Co Donuts & Coffee

I'm not really into Donuts but coffee on the other hand it's a different story.
However, we were not here for Donuts or Coffee....
Instead, we were here for yogurt ice-cream for desserts (Fat Free).

Other than coffee, you can opt to have tea at J.Co.

Anyway, we ordered this set called 'Sharing'.
Yes, we ordered this so that we can share =p
The presentation looks yummy right? And best of all guilt free. Slurp!

My friend ordered this set because she knows that the above order will not be enough for 4 pax. Smart move cause 'Sharing' is actually enough for 2 pax.

Thanks to my sweet friends for the lovely company and the sweet treat 💕
