Catching the Flu Bug is Terrible

I noticed lately that I get tired easily and having flu that comes and goes, especially my cough. Last night I noted that I have slight flu and as always, I take my cough syrup and thinking that it will go away the next morning. And boy was I wrong, it only makes the condition worst because this morning when I woke up I feel so unwell, and my throat was dry and hurts when I cough.
I admit that I haven’t been taking care of my health lately, especially before my final exam. My food intakes have been unhealthy, and I was constantly craving for junk food such as KFC, fries, sweet potato and so on. And when I went back to KL for a holiday break, my parents were constantly taking me out for dinner, especially foods that I craved when I am back home.
And because of this, I ended eating tones of medication. Hopefully I will get better before my new semester begins. The last thing I want is to return back with a flu that irritates the hell of me.

And at the same time when I return back to Singapore, I have to start my diet....well....not really a diet, but just a change of habit on my food intake and a change of my lifestyle. I know that I had put on substantiate weight lately and I have to do something about it because I don’t like the way I look when I'm overweight (Hey...who does right?). And most importantly, it doesn’t help with one confidence too. Finger cross that I will stick to it.

Heun Kee Claypot Chicken Rice @ Pudu, Kuala Lumpur

Mum wanted to try out the famous claypot chicken rice in Pudu. For the first timer who is going there, people usually will have some difficulty locating this area because it is located near the round about, and near the Pudu Market.

When you walk towards the shop , you'll find the staff busy preparing and cooking. Note that charcoal stoves are used to cook the rice so it is tastier and more fragrant.

The shop have air-conditioner, which is a plus sign for me, given that the weather have been extremely hot. But most importantly, the place was neat and clean, and their wall have pictures of the dishes they served.

Since there were  only 2 of us, mum ordered a medium size claypot chicken rice. Apparently they can be served in 3 sizes: small, medium and large. Found myself having two big helpings of the rice. Anyway, the claypot chicken rice I have was not bad, somehow it taste like any other claypot chicken rice that I ate. I was not too sure whether it was me but I found the rice was kinda hard or a bit too dry for my liking. I usually prefer rice that is mushy or a bit wet.

For soup lovers, this shop served various kind of soup.

Green vegetables, boiled and served with garlic and sauce.

Mum couldn't resist ordering a bowl of pig’s stomach in white pepper soup. The pig’s stomach was something that I never really like but according to my mum, it was tender since she loves it, while I on the other hand prefer the soup. I found the soup quite tasty, but the white pepper they put inside wasn't as hot or spicy that I wanted. However, it's worth trying though.

One word of advice, the place is known to be packed so if possible, it's advisable to go early. We arrived at 6pm and 15 minutes later the place was packed.  Alternatively, you can call them to order your food earlier to avoid waiting for too long or takeaway. Business Hours are from 11.00am – 9.30pm, and closed every 1st and 3rd Thursday. You can even check out their facebook page.

My New Beginning

Decided to write a blog....after years of having this account but never found the time to write....partly due to laziness and clueless what to write.

Anyway, to start of....I was working in my previous company a year ago when I quit my job and decided to study and pursude my MBA course, which i did not take back then (after my degree) due to financial constraint, being home sick and missing my family back home. I realised that going back to study was the best decision that I make, and I'm glad that I have my wonderful family and my closest friends for support on the decision I make.  I'm glad I make the right choice because I'm a happier person now and learning to enjoy my life the way i want it to be.

So there it is, just a brief introduction to begin my blog. More to come =)
